Tokyo Skytree, Sumida & Senso-Ji Temple, Asakusa
My first day and first time touring Japan. I stayed in the Juyoh Hotel and walked about 20 mins. down towards the Skytree alongside Sumida River. Skytree is about 2,080' feet high, there are 2 platforms you can visit. I only stopped on the lower level, you can pay an extra 1,000 yen to go a bit higher. Afterwards I walked another 15 mins. or so towards Asakusa to see the Senso-ji Shrine, lots of cool temples, shines and gates in that area. After that I was toast, on top of having caught a mild cold before flying out, I was set on catching some early rest anyways.

Kofukuji Temple used to be the family temple of the Fujiwara, which is the most powerful family clan over much of the Nara and Heian Periods. The temple was founded in Nara at the same time as the capital foundation in 710. At the height of Fujiwara domination, the temple consisted of over 150 buildings.
Today there remain a couple of buildings of great historic importance, including a five story pagoda and a three story pagoda. The five story pagoda is 50 meter tall, ranking second in Japan, after the five story pagoda at Kyoto's Toji Temple with only seven meter gap. Kofukuji's pagoda is both a landmark and symbol of Nara. It was first built in 730, and most recent reconstruction was done in 1426.
While addmission to Kofukuji's temple grounds is free and it can be entered around the clock, there are two areas that require addmission fee: Kofukuji's National Treasure Museum and the Eastern Golden Hall. The National Treasure Museum, recently renovated, exhibits part of the temple's great art collection and is something that must not miss out on for lovers of Buddhist art. Among the many outstanding exhibits, the three-faced, six-armed Ashura Statue is one of the most renowned Buddhist statues in all of Japan.
Hours: 9:00 to 17:00 (National Treasure Museum and Eastern Golden Hall)
Closed: Opened all year round.
Admission: 600 yen (National Treasure Museum), 300 yen (Eastern Golden Hall), 800 yen (both)

[4K] Tokyo Fireworks Festival 花火大会 along Arakawa river (Koto City)
Koto City( 江東市) Fireworks Festival (花火大会) along the famous Arakawa river
August 1, 2019, Arakawa River, Koto-ku, Tokyo, Japan
About 4,000 fireworks were launched from a barge on the Arakawa River for this annual hanabi taikai—and those watching from the river bank either side were just 150 meters away from the action. Because the event was held on a weekday the venue was a little less crowded than at other firework festivals in Tokyo with about 350,000 spectators. On the river, we saw some traditional Edo period style cruising boats decorated with Japenese lanterns. The show lasted for about one hour.
