There are many different beaches in the area of Unawatuna. This tiny beach is located near Dalawella bus stop in Unawatuna, Sri Lanka.
Dalawella Beach Sri Lanka 2018 (Palm Tree Rope Swing)
There are plenty of places around the world that have become viral travel hotspots overnight. A few popular Instagrammers or vloggers blow a place up and all of a sudden it becomes a must-do activity while you visit a region. The palm tree rope swing at Dalawella Beach is a prime example of a social media hotspot. Having said that it’s an awesome spot for a fun afternoon or a sunset and chill place to hang out whether you intend on getting that ‘Instagrammable’ travel shot or not.
The location of the swing is on Dalawella Beach, which is in the south of Sri Lanka near the popular town of Unawatuna. It takes about two hours to get to Dalawella Beach by train from Colombo and will cost a couple of bucks for the ticket. Once you are at Dalawella Beach the exact location is actually in front of a guesthouse called Dream Cabana.
The guys at Dream Cabana built the swing as something fun for themselves and it is evolved into one of the most talked about spots in Sri Lanka. It’s crazy how something a few mates built has become a bucket list item in Sri Lanka
Koombiyo is a 2017 Sri Lankan crime drama television series created by Lakmal Darmarathna and Damitha Chandrasiri. The show premiered on ITN on 26 August 2017 with 30 minutes episodes airing on Saturday and Sunday at 08:00 pm every week.
This video shows one of the main locations where this drama has filmed and it is an abandoned factory(Mac pack Building) located in piliyandala dole kanaththa aria. This location became famous because of this telegram and currently using for music videos and photo shoots

Hey Guys! Thank you for tuning in! In this video, we have shared with you our Unawatuna travel guide experience in Sri Lanka. We visited the most Instagramable places in Sri Lanka and they were even better then the pictures. We also released baby turtles into the ocean and learned a lot about the turtle hatchery and how they take care of the wounded turtles. We started off with Mirissa, Weligama, Koggala to release baby turtles and ended off with the spectacular sunset from Dalawella.
Mirissa is a small town on the south coast of Sri Lanka, located in the Matara District of the Southern Province. It is approximately 150 kilometres south of Colombo and is situated at an elevation of 4 metres above sea level. Mirissa's beach and nightlife make it a popular tourist destination.
Weligama is a town on the south coast of Sri Lanka, located in Matara District, Southern Province, Sri Lanka, governed by an Urban Council. The name Weligama, literally means sandy village which refers to the area's sandy sweep bay.
Koggala is a small coastal town, situated at the edge of a lagoon on the south coast of Sri Lanka, located in Galle District, Southern Province, Sri Lanka, governed by an Urban Council.
Dalawella beach is located in the Unawatuna area southwest on the island of Sri Lanka. Palm-fringed sandy beach backed with restaurants & tourist accommodation.

Mirssa & the Famous Rope Swing, Sri Lanka Part 2 - VLOG #21
Part 2 of our Sri Lanka adventures! We traveled down the South West Coast of Sri Lanka on the locals bus to the town of Mirissa. Mirissa is a popular beach town with cool restaurants on the beach and a lot of interesting places to explore close by. There is a famous palm tree rope swing located a few kilometers north of Mirissa. It's not advertised on the forums we read, but there are local Sri Lankans at the remote location of the swing who charge 500 Rupees for 3 swings (~$5CAD). Although it's a bit of a rip off but we still went for it and got our Instagram (and YouTube) photo and video fix.

Jungle Beach | Epic beach and jungle swing (Unawatuna) | Vlog | #002
After we made it to Unawatuna, Sri Lanka we got a scooter to explore the surrounding area. We went to Galle, Sri Lanka to have a look at the fort and the old town and went to Jungle Beach. After spending the evening there and enjoying the sunset we went to Mihiripenna Beach, Sri Lanka to see the stilt fishermen and enjoyed the Jungle Swing. Afterwards we have been taking the local bus to Tangalle, Sri Lanka to explore the local market and had a great lunch at Lime Cafe.

Today I went to Unawatuna Beach, Galle. Unawatuna is a coastal town in Galle district of Sri Lanka. Unawatuna is a major tourist attraction in Sri Lanka and famous for it being one of Sri Lanka's most beautiful beach. It is a suburb of Galle, about 5 kilometres southeast to the city center and approximately 108 kilometres south of Colombo in Sri Lanka. I would say this is one of the best places to visit in Sri Lanka, and if you are planing to visit Galle Sri Lanka then definitely go to Unawatuna beach.

Travel Video 005 - Sri Lanka || Backpacking Asia - 3rd week ||
After storms and rough seas for 3 days, on our third attempt, we went to the Dream Cabana Palm Tree Swing in Dalawella beach and the weather wasn't the sunniest but was calm enough for us to try it out!
The video doesn't do justice to the feeling you get jumping off that tree, honestly. If you are there go try it out. The guys are super nice and awesome. It cost 500 Sri Lankan Rupees (€2.52 at moment of writing) and you get 3 tries which you can do anytime you want during the day, no need to do them after each other.
This is our last video from Sri Lanka! The next few videos are going to be from India, and trust me, it has been amazing so far and the videos are going to be super nice with blue skies finally! So don't forget to subscribe and hit the bell button to be notified when I post a video!
