This was my very first trip alone outside of the US. Very daring but very adventurous. Despite going in the middle of Hurricane Season, Tropical storm Issaac missed Jamaica and Atlanta and it only rained twice the whole time. :) Not only did i do everything i wanted but i also did everything i wanted within a set budget. I got the opportunity to see Montego Bay, Ocho Rios where i stayed, Negril overnight, and Kingston in just four days. Even though I spend half my time on the road, the road traveling allowed me to see a lot of the heart of Jamaica. I am happy to say that I spend my 24th birthday just 3 weeks after Jamaicas 50th independence day and Usain Bolts recent Olympic Victories. I have much respect for Jamaican people, lifestyle and culture as much of the island is poor. In addition to rich culture and beauty, Jamaica is home to great music. Aside from wishing i stayed in Negril for a second night, this trip was a huge accomplishment in regards to future travel alone. I learned how to use other currency versus my own and i know how I should blend in with locals if necessary. lol
Happy Travels and I wish peace, love, and prosperity to this beautiful island. ONE LOVE

Jamaica Trip - Bob Marley
Bob Marleys Moms house Tour with Captain Crazy.
You ever find yourself in Jamaica and near 9 Mile, this is a pretty awesome excursion to do. You actually get to see Bob Marleys resting place along with his moms. Unfortunately No video or photos are allowed in their mausoleums but still a pretty neat experience.

These guys are great....and put on a really good show....they're right on the beach...literally! Under the moonlight!...ocean breeze...sand in your feet, drink in one hand...your sweetheart or soon to-be sweetheart in the other...must I say more? Check these guys out when you're in Negril.

Reasons To Come to Jamaica
Our tour guide Carlton Smith explains why you should come to Jamaica to vacation. He was extremely informative and full of the Jamaican spirit. We highly recommend his tour for your own Jamaican island tour or your hotel transfers. Outstanding service with that Jamaican smile! Carlton's Website: IrieRoutes.com
Rick's Cafe - Negril, Jamaica - Honeymoon - 9/6/13 - Jump #2 - Yaz Qafisheh
They took me into the Bob Marley cave after this particular jump... You can see me swimming with the guys that work there & going the opposite way as opposed to how I said Naw, I'm good... after the 1st jump & went straight for the ladder.
That cave is really cool. There were 2-3 guys. It's a naturally formed cave with lots of sharp rocks & tight spots. The guy had me follow in his footsteps... The way the cave formed, the water comes in underneath you but there are rocks on both sides of the entrance running about 10 feet tall. How you get it is you put one foot here, another there, & carefully maneuver from one side to the other using both hands & both feet.
A minute later, you follow the guy & you find yourself in near complete darkness except for a dark blue shimmering pool. They instructed me to jump in it from our high spot. Then, they asked me Do you know the way out from here? I looked around & noticed a tiny bit of sunlight coming from beyond an underwater tunnel that runs about maybe 15-20 feet.
Fear not, you can come up for air in the tunnel but you you have to be VERY careful. There are small spaces to get air in the top parts of the tunnel - it's not completely submerged. I was all jacked up & pumped up, a lot of adrenaline, I was kind of wheezing a little bit. I'm a pretty decent swimmer.
You eventually come out close to where you went in. Full circle ;D
AWESOME experience!!! Just make sure to tip them a little bit for the tour. $5-$10 is more than enough.
