Forgotten Resorts - Haney's Resort
During the 1950's thru the 1970's, there existed on the SouthWest shore of deer Lake a forgotten resort called Haney's Resort.
Featuring rental cabins, a general store, swimming and boating slip docks.
I have a special attachment to this area as a child growing up my parrents owned a summer cabin up on the hill behind this resort. I spent every summer here.
Today the resort is long gone, but the treasures dropped half a century ago are still in the gravel below the surface, where the visitors once swam and played.
Today is a simple dive with a mask, snorkel, and my underwater metal detector, around the docks where the resort boat dock once was.
Join me on an exploration adventure of that shallow water area.....
