Hiking DIAMOND HEAD Crater - Honolulu, Oahu
Hiking DIAMOND HEAD Crater - Honolulu, Oahu, HI
This is a detailed overview hiking one of the worlds most iconic landmarks on the Hawaiian island of Oahu.
I suggest arriving at the crater as sunrise to appreciate cool temperatures as you ascend the crater. Bring Sunglasses, Water, Sunscreen, good pair of hiking shoes and CASH as no credit/debit cards are accepted. Entry fee is $1 USD / person.
You may drive and park your automobile in one of the very limited parking spaces inside the crater. DID I MENTION ARRIVING EARLY?
There are a host of concession stands serving hot meals including hamburgers and Hawaii's iconic DOLE PINEAPPLE.
If you plan to arrive via UBER/LYFT, make sure your cell phone battery is near 100% as coverage may be limited in certain areas of the park.

Incredible day in Waikiki, Snorkeling Turtle Cove & Hiking Diamond Head
Day 2 of our honey moon brought us some cool adventures in the water and on top of a dormant Volcano Diamond head. The snorkeling trip cost us $50 a person for a 2 hour ride and all the Coronas and Mai Tais's you could ever drink. The crew took us off a few thousand yards from Waikiki beach in front of the Moana Surfrider. (LINK BELOW)
Diamond head hike cost us a total of $2 to get into the park. This hike is somewhat challenging but rewards you with great views of Honolulu and Waikiki's ocean front hotels. (LINK BELOW)

The Volcanic Diamond Head Crater of Hawaii
Diamond Head Hawaii is a famous volcanic crater, located on the eastern edge of Waikiki’s coastline. The most recognized landmark is known as Leahi (brow of the tuna) in Hawaiian. The crater was named “Diamond Head” by 19th century British sailors saw calcite crystals sparkling in the sunshine and thought they had found diamonds on the crater’s slopes. These “diamonds” were actually shiny calcite crystals that had no value.

Episode 8: Hawaii Day 4! Hiking at Diamond Head, More Time at Waikiki Beach, and Germaine's Luau!!
Hi guys! What’s up :D
Day 4 of the Hawaii vlog is awaiting for you all, so press that play button and let’s get started!
Today was one of the many days we had to wake up extra early. Yes, same time at 5am HAHA. But we all had to eat extra early.
At 7:40 we headed for a bus to the bottom of Diamond Head, where we all hiked up the closed roads and trails :D
At first I was like “oooh scary” but it wasn’t as scary as I thought it was haha.
After our 2 hour hike we all decided to get some shave ice and all that :)
I’m gonna hand the summary over to the video because it’ll give you more insight! Hope you all enjoy Day 4!
Deuces!

Travel to Honolulu
Sometimes called The Gathering Place, Oahu certainly lives up to its name. The third largest Hawaiian island is home to the majority of Hawaii's diverse population, a fusion of east and west cultures rooted in the values and traditions of the Native Hawaiian people. It's this fundamental contrast between the ancient and the modern that makes discovering Oahu so enjoyable.
The clear blue waters of Kailua Beach meet the metropolitan cityscapes of Honolulu. The historic architecture of Iolani Palace meets the timeless memorials of Pearl Harbor. The big city of Waikiki meets the small town of Haleiwa on the North Shore. Whether you're hiking atop iconic Leahi (Diamond Head), enjoying some of Hawaii's best shopping, or simply unwinding on the sands of the island's beautiful beaches, you'll find variety at every turn on Oahu.
