Whale watching off Sayulita, Mexico
We spotted pods of humpback (I think) whales surfacing and breaching on a boat trip between Sayulita, Mexico (north of Puerto Vallarta) and the Marietta Islands on December 22, 2008. We also saw plenty of sea life while snorkeling and exploring. Sorry about the poor video quality. I shot this with a simple Canon PowerShot camera in choppy waters.

Travel Sayulita Mexico - Amazing day trip to Marietas Islands - On la chica loca
Daily Vlog #76 - Mexico Vlog day 2 - What to do in Sayulita - Today is our second day backpacking mexico in this beautifl town of Sayulita. We have decided to do one of the popular sayulita day tours by going to Marietas Islands. We booked a all inclusive tour with a boat called la chica loca. There are many types of day trips you can do in Mexico and this one included visiting the Marietas Islands combined with snorkeling, stand up paddleboarding and just a fun day at sea with all access to all the amazing boat amenities. We had a super fun day at sea and def recommend doing the tour if your down in Sayulita. It is very different than our normal trips backpacking southeast asia but we are having a blast. We also got to do a little whale watching, well maybe it even got to close, phew those wales smell ;) After a day of having fun visiting some amazing mexico beaches it was time to return home, well our AirBnB home ;) and then we finished it off with an amazing sunset at beautiful Sayulita beach. Thanks for watching and all the support and we are happy to bring you along on our adventures!!!

How to Vlog? This is the question I asked myself as I started out the new year. I am always looking to be more creative and I decided that this year will be the year that I start a daily vlog. So sitback and step into my daily life.
Vlogging is totally new to me, but I hope to bring you on all my travels, adventures and all around exploring.
A little bit about myself:
I live in San Diego and love all things creative. I am a webmaster for work but do all sorts of things including design, photography and anything that involves using my hands or creativity.
My wife and I are avid rock climbers and love go to on adventures in our 88 Vanagon. We traveled to last year all around Mexico, China, Bali, Hawaii and throughout California and Neveda. I am hoping that 2016 will bring more excitement and more travels, so be sure to subscribe :)
I use a Canon 70d combined with a Canon G7X for all my Vlogs.

Whale Adventures & Snorkeling in the Riviera Nayarit Mexico
Whale Adventures & Snorkeling in the Riviera Nayarit. Mexico I love Mexico and sharing the beauty of this land through YouTube and Sony HD video with people around the world is a dream come true. The real Mexico is out there waiting to be explored and enjoyed by all, it is not the Mexico that mainstream media shows.
There is so much to Mexico from the Pacific Riviera Mexico to the Caribbean Riviera Maya. Love it.

Get ready to enjoy Las Marietas Islands a natural marine park. Where you are going to be able to enjoy the beauty of the coral reef and the different types of fishes. This trip is for all the families that are looking for a memorable experience.
While you eat your continental breakfast on board of the Ventura's Vallarta tours catamaran, be ready to enjoy the magnificent view of the mountains that sorround us on the bay, as well as spotting some whales, dolphins and turtles; while on your way to las marietas.
In las marietas you can choose to do some snorkeling and swim your way to lovers beach, One of the best Puerto Vallarta Tours when going to visit Las Marietas Islands. The Marietas Islands were originally formed many thousands of years ago by volcanic activity, and are completely uninhabited. The islands are about an hour long boat ride west-northwest from the coast of Puerto Vallarta and are visited daily by hundreds of tourists, yet no one can legally set foot on the islands. In the early 1900s the Mexican government began conducting military testing on the islands because no one lived there. Many bombings and large explosions took place on the islands causing amazing caves and rock formations to be created. After a massive international outcry, started by scientist Jacques Cousteau in the late 1960s, the government eventually decided to label the islands a national park and therefore protected against any fishing, hunting or human activity.

Marietas Islands Bahia Alegre Puerto Vallarta Islas Marietas Tours
Marietas Islands Bahia Alegre Puerto Vallarta Islas Marietas Tours with crystal clear waters and sandy beaches, the origins of this idyllic paradise comes as a surprise - it is in fact the world's most picturesque bomb site.
This secluded strip of sand is believed to have formed decades ago when it was used as target practice by the Mexican Government in the early 1900s.
But where you might expect to find ruins and devastation, here there is a sensational, deserted beach on the Marieta Islands in Puerto Vallarta.
the Hidden Beach, officially called Playa De Amor, or the 'Beach of Love', has shot to fame after gaining a huge following across social media.
To reach the secluded marvel, visitors have to swim through a short tunnel which opens up into the spectacular beach, which is surrounded by rare wildlife.
Ventura Osorio, who is one the main people responsible for making Marietas Islands a international HIT!!! and made the Islas Marietas famous to the world with his powerful social media and who provides tours to the Hidden Beach, said the islands were formed thousands of years ago by volcanic rock activity.
Ventura, 34, from Puerto Vallarta, Mexico, explained: 'The beach itself was most likely formed prior to the First World War since the Mexican government had been using the islands as target practice. These controlled bombings have been said to have formed numerous caves and other unique rock formations on the Marietas Islands.
'It is believed that the Hidden Beach was created as a result of these factors combined with the erosion of the rocks surrounding it due to the local weather conditions.'
Spectacular wildlife including humpback whales, dolphins and manta rays are just some of the stunning marine life visitors get to enjoy when at the beach.
It has been discovered and become a popular destination to visit after going viral on social networking site like Facebook, Twitter and YouTube.
Mr Ventura added: 'Without social media, the hidden beach would just be another beach waiting to be discovered by the world. This beach became famous around the world through Twitter, Facebook, YouTube, Tumblr, Pinterest, Instagram, you name it.
'Puerto Vallarta is a very popular tourist destination in Mexico and now that there is awareness, the amount of visitors the hidden beach receives had gown astronomically.'
Hottest Surf Spot You Gotta Visit!
Sayulita, Mexico is well known for its cute surf beach, little shops and restaurants, and chilled out vibes. We wandered our way down the playa and found a hidden beach where we spent the afternoon playing spike ball, getting hit by waves, soaking in the sun, and releasing a few baby turtles out into the ocean. We partnered up with Hometogo, a search engine for luxury villa's and found ourselves an epic 4 story mansion to stay in for 7 nights!
