The Dromkeen Medal is a literary prize awarded annually by the Courtney Oldmeadow Children's Literature Foundation for those who have advanced children's literature in Australia. The Medal was established by bookseller, Joyce Oldmeadow in 1982, and is named after the property, Dromkeen Homestead, near Riddell's Creek, Victoria which the Oldmeadow family purchased in 1973, and established as a children's literature museum.The State Library of Victoria has presented the Dromkeen Medal since 2013.

Hi Guys,
My name is Steph and this is my video application to be the instgrammer for the Busabout great travel experiment!

I live in a little country town called Riddells Creek, Victoria, Australia, which is located 50 minutes away from the Melbourne CBD, we are the closest town in the shire of the Macedon Ranges to the city.
In my video I show you the highlights of our township, although the township itself is quite small, we still have beautiful nature reserves and of course, my favourite - Dromkeen Homestead; which is a small art gallery that holds literature events for childrens books/illustrators. They also have a sand sculpture gallery out the back which is really cool too, this gallery displays works from artists that are from all over the world.
