4WD Treks Close to Brisbane: Surfing around Stradbroke
outdoortravelchannel.tv - Photojournalist and 4WD enthusiast Danielle Lancaster of Bluedog Photography recently wrote a book entitled 4WD Treks Close to Brisbane. Two of the book's 25 treks take place on North Stradbroke Island ('Straddie'), and this video covers the easier of the two: 46.7km Surfing around Stradbroke.
On this trek, we visit historic Dunwich, go beach driving on Flinders and Main beaches, and pass through Naree Budjong Djara National Park. Along the way, we stop to fish for whiting, snorkel with manta rays, and walk through the forest - plus we make a detour to play in some mud puddles.
