2013 03 28 - 29 Chine Mianzhu / Hanwang
See you...

On 2013 03 28 - 29 China Mianzhu / Hanwang
The third last and episode of our journey in China.
We go back 80 km to the northwest of Chengdu, learner during evening with our guide Zebedee, whom 2 Mikado 141 SY would make of the resistance in region. One needed hardly more to sharpen our curiosity !
The region of the Sichuan is, regrettably, regularly the theater of earthquake. It is the case on May 12th, 2008. And still a few weeks after our coming. The city of Hanwang is forbidden any car traffics, under risk of collapses of buildings. It results from it a city leaves even ghost. Nevertheless the chemical processing plant close continues to work ... It is here that we shall find our first SY the 1194.
The crossing makes only 2 kilometers long, it arrives in drawer on the main way, obliging numbers of laborers during the exchanges of trains. The empty trains arrive with the diesel on the main way, the SY1194 move back its full train in quoted, then drops out, goes back up to the needle, and finally move back on the empty train to leave towards the factory via the drawer. The diesel will make the inverse progress.
The second SY the 1198, shunt to Mianzhu, on a very short crossing in about ten kilometers of Hanwang.
During our coming we have to attend after unloading of the freight cars of bags of cereal, in vast one brooms to go and comings of the SY 1198, playing to sort out freight cars in one orders which overtakes us; but for most great pleasure of our eyes and our ears.
Regrettably, according to the information gleaned on 2 sites, when you will look at these videos it is highly likely that these two resistant are transformed in cans or others?.
It is on this sad note, for us hunter of steam locomotives in their juices that we are going to leave this country which definitively bewitches me more and more ....
See you...

Rescuers pushed farther into remote villages flattened by China's devastating earthquake on Wednesday, while officials reported a huge jump in deaths certain to push the death toll close to 20-thousand.
On Tuesday, AP Television filmed footage of the damage and devastation in Mianzhu 60 miles (100 kilometres) from the epicentre.
At least 4,800 people remained buried in Mianzhu, China's state Xinhua news agency said on Tuesday, citing local authorities.
AP Television also showed a tent town in Mianzhu where displaced residents - along with tens of thousands of other homeless people in wrecked towns across hilly stretches of Sichuan province - spent a second night outdoors.
Mianzhu, along with nearby Aoping and the village of Hong Yan, fall in China's Sichuan province, hit hardest by Monday's 7.9 magnitude earthquake.
The scale of devastation became clearer on Wednesday as more rescuers walked into the hardest-hit areas of central Sichuan province, finding towns where 80 percent of the population fell victim to Monday's magnitude 7.9 quake.
The 7,700 dead in Yingxiu were believed to be in addition to the previously reported death toll of more than 12-thousand.

Meanwhile, Chinese state media reported on Wednesday that 7,700 were believed killed out the 10-thousand people in the town of Yingxiu, near the quake's epicentre in the Sichuan province.
However, that figure was not immediately added to the official toll.
Xinhua reported that rescuers who hiked across landslide-blocked roads into Yingxiu on Wednesday found the Wenchuan county town much worse than expected.
The report said only 2,300 people were believed to have survived.
The death toll as of late Tuesday was at least 12,012 deaths in Sichuan and another 323 deaths in five other provinces and the metropolis of Chongqing.
But another 18-thousand were believed trapped in rubble, most in Beichuan - a hard-hit area on the edge of the quake's epicentre.

Special Report: Strong quake jolts SW China
Medical workers in Mianzhu's Hanwang Township have begun to take DNA samples of quake victims.
A team of 53 forensic doctors and 19 audiovisual experts from the relevant provincial departments in Sichuan is in charge of identifying the quake victims.
Zhang Jialing, Forensic section chief of Chengdu People's Procuratorate., said, We're focusing on bodies that are unclaimed or disfigured beyond recognition. We're keeping files of DNA samples of these bodies for further identification.
The procedure follows closely the guideline set out by the Ministry of Public Security. It includes disinfecting, numbering, photographing, sampling, and registering the bodies.
Zhang Jialing said, As the bodies are in a high state of decomposition, and the site is very messy, we have to make great haste to minimize the health danger. It takes us 20 minutes at most for a single procedure.
So far, 35 bodies in Mianzhu have been processed. DNA samplings in other quake-stricken areas are also underway.

SUMMARY
=======
The 2008 Sichuan earthquake (Chinese: 汶川大地震; pinyin: Wènchuān dà dìzhèn; literally: 'Great Wenchuan earthquake'), also known as the Great Sichuan earthquake or Wenchuan earthquake, occurred at 14:28:01 China Standard Time on May 12, 2008. Measuring at 8.0 Ms (7.9 Mw), the earthquake's epicenter was located 80 kilometres (50 mi) west-northwest of Chengdu, the provincial capital, with a focal depth of 19 km (12 mi). The earthquake ruptured the fault for over 240 km (150 mi), with surface displacements of several meters. The earthquake was also felt in nearby countries and as far away as both Beijing and Shanghai—1,500 and 1,700 km (930 and 1,060 mi) away—where office buildings swayed with the tremor. Strong aftershocks, some exceeding 6 Ms, continued to hit the area up to several months after the main shock, causing further casualties and damage. The earthquake also caused the largest number of geohazards ever recorded, including about 200,000 landslides and more than 800 quake lakes distributed over an area of 110,000 km2 (42,000 sq mi).Over 69,000 people lost their lives in the quake, including 68,636 in Sichuan province. 374,176 were reported injured, with 18,222 listed as missing as of July 2008. The geohazards triggered by the earthquake are thought to be responsible for at least one third of the death toll. The earthquake left about 4.8 million people homeless, though the number could be as high as 11 million. Approximately 15 million people lived in the affected area. It was the deadliest earthquake to hit China since the 1976 Tangshan earthquake, which killed at least 240,000 people, and the strongest in the country since the 1950 Chayu earthquake, which registered at 8.5 on the Richter magnitude scale. It is the 18th deadliest earthquake of all time. On November 6, 2008, the central government announced that it would spend 1 trillion RMB (about US $146.5 billion) over the next three years to rebuild areas ravaged by the earthquake, as part of the Chinese economic stimulus program.

Warnings of the Last Days From God | Christian Short Film The Days of Noah Have Come
Let's look back on mankind during the age of Noah. Man was engaged in all kinds of evil activities paying no thought to repentance. Nobody listened to the word of God. Their rigidity and evil aroused God's anger and in the end, they were swallowed up by the disaster of the great flood. Only Noah and his family of eight listened to God's word and were able to survive. Now, the last days have already arrived. Mankind's corruption is getting deeper and deeper. Everyone reveres evil. The entire religious world follows the tide of the world. They do not love the truth one bit. The days of Noah have already arrived! In order to save mankind, God has returned once more to do the judgment work of the last days amongst mankind. This is the last time that God saves man! What should mankind choose?
This is a true story. Since the citizens of Qingping County in the province of Sichuan have repeatedly refused to accept Almighty God's kingdom gospel, they have met with two instances of disaster. During the Great Sichuan Earthquake, many brothers and sisters who believed in Almighty God were miraculously protected by God and survived. These facts have been witnessed: those that accept and obey God and those that deny and resist God. These two kinds of people have two very different endings!

Down Town
14:28 P.M, May 12, 2008, Wenchuan, China, 8-magnitude earthquake.
A grievous moment that strikes human's heart, a collision between civilized society and brutal nature, a catastrophe deeply carved on human history, is briefly presented in this video that captures a tiny slice of the 2008 Wenchuan Earthquake scene which caused more than 100k fatalities within a Minute.
People are always used to following good things and not wanting to think back to suffering. Those who have lived here will remember these places, but these people have already left, and we don't know where they drift. In order to find out the truth, I went to the three areas most affected by the earthquake, namely Shifang Chuanxindian earthquake protection site, Mianzhu Hanwang earthquake protection site and Beichuan old county earthquake site. Just in the earthquake site of the old county of Beichuan, more than 20,000 lives were buried under the rubble. Whether I walked in the protected area of the site or I have already returned home, I can't forget the pictures I saw there for a long time. Heavy and sorrowful, time seemed to be still a decade ago, only the new life of nature is still flourishing. When entering the site protection area along the road, the factory chimneys and the dry rivers made me feel that the earthquake may be more like a punishment for nature's destruction of the human environment, and we do not know how to repent and still destroy our survival home.

The Pan River Bridge in Jiangyou, Sichuan province,
collapsed at 11:30am July 9th, 2013, throwing many cars and pedestrians into the river.
Chinese authorities claimed this incident to be a natural
disaster, saying the bridge washed away in heavy rains.
Locals denounced this report, saying such a report before
any investigating indicates that some people are worried.
Why they worried?
Below is our report.
Jiangyou municipal government said at a news conference
on Tuesday that the recent heavy rains upstream of Pan River
caused Pan River's flow to increase suddenly, reaching a 50-
year record at a maximum of 6,600 cubic meters per second.
Authorities said, The high flood levels contained
a large amount of sediment, which had a strong erosive power,
resulting in the collapse of the Pan River Bridge.
But the public says that this conclusion was released before
the investigation report, showing that someone is afraid of the truth.
By 11am on July 10, six vehicles are known to have fallen
into the river, and 12 people went missing.
The Pan River Bridge was built in 1969.
Its total length is 160 meters, and it is 8 meters wide.
It is a concrete hyperbolic arch bridge.
After the May 12th Wenchuan earthquake, the Pan River
Bridge was reinforced, but five days after its reopening, the collapse took place.
Jiangyou authorities stressed that the bridge collapse
is a natural disaster, but they provided no explanation
of whether there were quality control problems or whether
there were issues with the security check.
A local netizen denounced the official explanation.
He said, The first press conference reported that water flow
at 7000 cubic meters per second caused the bridge to collapse.
Then I will ask you, what was this bridge designed for?
The authorities were worried about this bridge in the first place
since they limited the weight and height of vehicles crossing it.
Then who decided that the bridge will serve the two-way traffic
flow as it does now?
This netizen said, this is a natural disaster, but more
of a man-made disaster.
Netizens also said, At the time of construction, the traffic
on this bridge was very light.
Now it is totally different.
Did the authorities consider this issue or not?
A third netizen said, When officials stand up, apologize,
and then resign for their fault after such accidents, then the country will have a future.
Other netizens also requested, We need the truth!
Li Bihua, editor of a supplementary forum of Hong Kong
newspaper Apple Daily, said that in China, man-made disasters are always reported as natural disasters.
What's more, after the disaster, local governments do not
learn a lesson, and only repeat the same mistake soon after.
It is simply useless for them to reconstruct the bridge to have
it collapse again.
They could simply take the money for themselves.
Recently two bridges fell in Sichuan province.
According to official media reports, one was in Mianzhu City
and the other in Xinglong.
10 km of embankment was damaged.
