Tamarindo Santa Cruz, Gunacaste - Costa Rica
Located in the northern flatlands of Costa Rica, Guanacaste is home of the sabanero (the cowboy), and is marked by a tradition deeply rooted in cattle ranches, sugar cane, melon, and rice harvesting. Dramatic volcanic hills and ridges rise above the plains as one moves inland and upward. Its complex geography is such that you can be lounging on the beach in the morning, and scaling the side of a volcano deep in the cloud forest by afternoon. Cala Luna Hotel is proud to be Gunacaste.
Tamarindo Beach in Tamarindo, Costa Rica
Tamarindo Beach in Tamarindo, Costa Rica
Tamarindo is a town and district of the Santa Cruz canton, located on the Nicoya Peninsula on the Northern Pacific coast of Costa Rica in the Province of Guanacaste. Tamarindo is the largest developed beach town in Guanacaste, and the second-largest in all of Costa Rica, behind Jacó. The district has a population (as of 2011) of 6,375. The main attractions are surfing and eco-tourism.
Towns belonging to the district besides Tamarindo are Villarreal, Santa Rosa, Garita Nueva, Hernández and San José de Pinilla.
From simple beginnings as a quiet fishing village Tamarindo, Costa Rica has developed into one of the most popular destinations in the Guanacaste province. This town supports a beautiful beach, a range of accommodations, and a number of restaurants. The main boulevard includes various boutiques and art galleries.
Tamarindo Beach is a long beach with great waves. The currents here can be strong so watch the posted advisories when swimming, but much of Tamarindo Beach is perfect for those just learning how to surf. The vibe of Tamarindo is best described as “Party and Play.” Great swimming, surf, fishing, and water sports during the day, buzzing nightlife come sunset. Because of its central location, tourists often base themselves here and explore Guanacaste over a number of days. Younger crowds enjoy the local bars and discotheques. Situated only 1 hour away from the Liberia airport, we recommend renting a car and exploring these well-maintained roads at your leisure.
Surfing in Tamarindo
Without a doubt, there’s one thing that seems to have the greatest draw for this boomtown – surfing. The breaks in the area are some of the best in the world, as evidenced by the several international surfing competitions held here every year. The beautiful beaches are popular thanks to the consistency of the waves, and the town is a perfect jumping-off location for beach and point breaks along the coast. The calmest water for swimming can be found on the southern end of the beach while the water just off the busiest part of town is best for surfing. The nearby river mouth offers breaks that are perfect for the more experienced.

Watch the sunset, listen to the waves crashing on this Costa Rica beach for 8 Hours. Relax & Calm.
Beautiful sunset at Playa Flamingo in Costa Rica. Listen to the soothing sound of the waves crashing on the beach for 8 hours. Relax, Meditate or Sleep to the natural sound of waves.
Playa Flamingo is on the West coast only about an hour from Liberia’s International Airport. The beach gets it’s name from the sand turning a beautiful subtle shade of pink under the right weather conditions. During the day the beach has white sand and clear blue water. There is a quiet atmosphere here as there is not a big nightlife scene. This area is less populated and in tune with those seeking solitude with peaceful surroundings. Simply stunning.

Why does the sound of falling water relieve stress? The brain gets a signal from the constant continuous sound that decreases the need for sensory input, thus calming us down. Helping us fall asleep more quickly and sleep more deeply.
The calming sound of falling water can block out noises that the brain would interpret as a threat. Blocking out the random thoughts of the day will lull you to sleep.
Try listening while you are working or studying. Nature sounds are natural white noises that are very powerful in drowning out distractions from the outside environment. This actually leads to better concentration and enhanced focus.
If you have tinnitus, certain environmental and health factors can make the sounds in your ear worse. Anxiety and depression can cause a vicious cycle making the tinnitus worse. By listening to this video, you are using a sound therapy which creates a distraction, with additional noise reducing the contrast between the tinnitus signal and the background noise.
Tinnitus gets worse at night because it is too quiet. Listening to the sound of water is one solution for those who can’t sleep because of the ringing, hissing or whooshing sound in your ears.
Babies love white noise. It helps reduce stress. Helps them sleep. Cry less.
Well shot nature video and other white noise video is coming soon to this channel. For updates on new videos, please subscribe and enjoy all that is to come.
Thanks
