Exploring the Largest Car Museum in North America
HOW TO PLAN YOUR EPIC RV ADVENTURE COURSE SALE:
On this Airstream Life vLog, we start the video by showing off some of the awesome photography Steve has been making from around the lake here at our campground in Kalamazoo. Take a look and let us know what you think and if you have a favorite.
Next, we take you along while we explore the Gilmore Car Museum which is the largest museum of it's kind in North America. 90 acres and 7+ buildings full of cars and history. We learned about air-cooled Franklins, toured an old Cadillac dealership, saw Edison's original Model A, had milkshakes at an original diner, saw antique cars being driven around the campus and even popped into a miniature museum with a crazy amount of detail. Plus so much more! You know we aren't the biggest museum people but this one is definitely worth a visit!
Stay tuned for our next video when we move to Grand Haven and Courtney get's very excited about a new purchase.

EXPO – Magic of the White City (Narrated by Gene Wilder)
Narrated by Gene Wilder, EXPO – Magic of the White City brings the Chicago World’s Fair to life. Experience the world of 1893 through a cinematic visit to Chicago’s Columbian Exposition.
Subscribe for more great documentaries!
Nearly 28 million people visited the Fair. Dubbed the “White City,” it inspired future innovators like Henry Ford and Frank Lloyd Wright, unveiled the Ferris Wheel and Cracker Jack®, and, in many ways, marked the beginning of the 20th century. Many of the era’s greatest achievements in science, technology and culture were unveiled there. The grounds were designed by Frederick Law Olmsted, famous for his design of New York City’s Central Park, and constructed under the supervision of Daniel Burnham.
The Fair was an engineering marvel. On opening day, President Grover Cleveland depressed a golden telegraph key which sent the first courses of electricity throughout the Fair powering fountains, machines, electric railways and thousands of lights. It was the first use of electricity on such a massive scale.
In addition, fairgoers enjoyed the Midway Plaisance where a one-mile boulevard of fun offered camel riding and guilty pleasures such as belly dancing, street fighting and beer drinking. Against the backdrop of 1893’s troubles with workers’ rights, prejudice, discrimination and corruption, the World’s Columbian Exposition cast a brief ray of hope for the future of humanity.
Filmed in spectacular High-Definition, EXPO – Magic of the White City immerses viewers in one of the world’s biggest extravaganzas and one of the most unforgettable events in American history. There will never be another event like it… or will there?
Essex, CT where Indiana Jones scene was filmed
More filming Indy IV videos at my channel. On July 5, 2007 the cast and crew of Indiana Jones IV Indiana Jones and the Kingdom of the Crystal Skull traveled to Essex, Connecticut USA to film a scene or two for the upcoming movie. Listening is a more natural way of learning, when compared to reading. Written language only began at around 3200 BC, but spoken language has existed long ago.
Learning by listening is a great way to:
- increases imagination and understanding
- improves your listening skills

SUMMARY
=======
William Ewart Gladstone, (; 29 December 1809 – 19 May 1898) was a British statesman of the Liberal Party. In a career lasting over sixty years, he served for twelve years as Prime Minister of the United Kingdom, spread over four terms beginning in 1868 and ending in 1894. He also served as Chancellor of the Exchequer four times.
Gladstone was born in Liverpool to Scottish parents. He first entered the House of Commons in 1832, beginning his political career as a High Tory, a grouping which became the Conservative Party under Robert Peel in 1834. Gladstone served as a minister in both of Peel's governments, and in 1846 joined the breakaway Peelite faction, which eventually merged into the new Liberal Party in 1859. He was Chancellor under Lord Aberdeen (1852–1855), Lord Palmerston (1859–1865), and Lord Russell (1865–1866). Gladstone's own political doctrine—which emphasised equality of opportunity, free trade, and laissez-faire economic policies—came to be known as Gladstonian liberalism. His popularity amongst the working-class earned him the sobriquet The People's William.
In 1868, Gladstone became Prime Minister for the first time. Many reforms were passed during his first ministry, including the disestablishment of the Church of Ireland and the introduction of secret voting. After electoral defeat in 1874, Gladstone resigned as Leader of the Liberal Party; but from 1876 he began a comeback based on opposition to Turkey's reaction to the Bulgarian April Uprising. His Midlothian Campaign of 1879–80 was an early example of many modern political campaigning techniques. After the 1880 general election, Gladstone formed his second ministry (1880–1885), which saw the passage of the Third Reform Act as well as crises in Egypt (culminating in the Fall of Khartoum) and Ireland, where the government passed repressive measures but also improved the legal rights of Irish tenant farmers.
Back in office in early 1886, Gladstone proposed home rule for Ireland but was defeated in the House of Commons. The resulting split in the Liberal Party helped keep them out of office—with one short break—for twenty years. Gladstone formed his last government in 1892, at the age of 82. The Second Home Rule Bill passed through the House of Commons but was defeated in the House of Lords in 1893. Gladstone left office in March 1894, aged 84, as both the oldest person to serve as Prime Minister and the only Prime Minister to have served four terms. He left parliament in 1895 and died three years later. Gladstone was known affectionately by his supporters as The People's William or the G.O.M. (Grand Old Man, or, according to his political rival Benjamin Disraeli, God's Only Mistake). Historians often call him one of the greatest leaders. A.J.P. Taylor has stated, William Ewart Gladstone was the greatest political figure of the nineteenth century. I do not mean by that that he was necessarily the greatest statesman, certainly not the most successful. What I mean is that he dominated the scene.

ACTIVIST MIMI HUGHES SWIMS PAST THE BOATHOUSE RESTAURANT & MARINA - Toronto Ohio
Mimi Hughes, of Taft, Tenn., swam past The Boathouse Restaurant & Marina in Toronto, Ohio; Tuesday, May 25 at 4:53 p.m. during the third leg of her 981-mile journey of swimming the length of the Ohio River.
The remedial-development teacher and professional tutor in the areas of dyslexia and learning strategies teaches lifeguard classes and classes that give people strategies for learning at Motlow College in Lynchburg, Tenn.
In an interview from The Review newspaper in East Liverpool, Ohio Hughes said.that she chose to swim the Ohio after falling in love with the Ohio River Valley several years ago during a trip to Louisville, Ky. She said by swimming rivers, her goal is to draw attention to the disparity in education around the world between men and women. She said all during the wars in Afghanistan and Iraq she has been disturbed that many women and young girls in the Middle East are denied educational opportunities.
Her effort is to raise money and awareness for organizations that support academics and life skills for young girls. Besides making local connections during her swims, she also supports international efforts through the Central Asia Institute to promote education for girls and women, with the belief that education and life-skills learning will empower young girls to transform themselves, their families and their communities.
Hughes has previously done swims in Russia and Europe for environmental and social responsibility and to promote peace between nations. She started with a swim across the Bering Sea to Russia in 1997, followed by an environmental awareness swim of the Tennessee River in 2004, the Danube River in 2006, and the Drava and Mura Rivers in 2007.
Her very first swim was from Alcatraz to San Francisco, which she picked just because she likes the movie, Birdman of Alcatraz.
Hughes hopes her Ohio River swim will continue to spread her vision: Every person has the power to change the world, one stroke at a time. I want to do more than donate to a cause for change, she said. I want to be the change.
More information on Hughes' swims is available at the Women Across the World website, womenacrosstheworld.ning.com. Hughes' email address is riverswimmer1956@yahoo.com

Body Shift
Olivia O’Hare, Director
We found out about dancing opportunities for people with and without disabilities. Ollie told us how they do it and how you can get involved. Body Shift is often seen in action on the streets of Austin.
Body Shift is based on the idea that we all move in interesting and compelling ways. Body Shift is an ongoing project in mixed-ability dance, co-sponsored by Forklift Danceworks and VSA Texas. Find them on Facebook:
DanceAbility is a method that uses some fundamental principles which are sensation, relationship, time, and design. So they're kind of the elements that makes dance and choreography, and Alito Alessi has distilled those elements down to make them more accessible to a wider swath of people, and uses language that is more open. So it makes dance more accessible to more people.

There are new fears that espionage between East and West is on the increase, despite the end of the Cold War.
