They are a family run farm the operates 7 days a week from 9am until 5:30pm. The Johnson family has been working the land for the last 6 generations, but many of the family members now only use it as a weekend escape.

In addition to the U-Pick selection, you can get some of the freshest veggies grown in the Annapolis Valley in their market.

My visit to the Titanic graveyard in Halifax, Nova Scotia on August 19th, 2019 lots of facts given
the titanic graveyard in fairview cemetery in Halifax Nova scotia, since my daughter is being followed at the IWK health center in Halifax, i could make videos in the future of this graveyard, or go find where there buried in 2 of the 3 graveyards. now to clear up some of my mistakes ha!
15:05 i said the ship took off to look for survivors and then i go ahead and i said they found survivors and took them to new york.this ship was one of the ships dispatched to look for bodies and take them to halifax nova scotia. or they buried them at sea. either way, its terrible, all these people should of had a proper burial. and its sad 3rd class people were looked on as poor people. much of the dead on titanic were 3rd class.
also i said that 800 and some people survived in the lifeboats, i dont have a clue why i said that... its been around 705 the estimated number picked up by the carpathia. titanic had over 880 crew members, those lifeboats could of saved the crew and no passengers. thank god it was half full. if she had been full im sure over double the people would of died.
sad. anyhow, i hope i could teach you something after taking this walkthrough with me.
my titanic website is
Arron's Titanic Page
needs some work, but its still one of the best websites on it.
i worked hard on that since i formed it in 1997 over 22 years later

Akon Halifax Concert Cancelled
He’s breaking our hearts but it’s for a good cause.
3Run Entertainment’s Akon concerts (Moncton, Sept. 24 and Halifax, Sept. 25) have been cancelled. The recording artist will instead make an unplanned appearance before the United Nations on behalf of Akon’s Lighting Africa initiative.
The initiative is making major strides in creating off-grid electrification in a number of African countries.
After just a week, ticket sales reached the 40 percent mark, so we know this was a sought after concert. We apologize for the disappointment to our ticket buyers and want you to know full refunds will be provided at your ticket point of purchase or by calling Ticket Halifax at (888) 377-4510.

How a Robot Hitchhiked Across Canada
In 2014, a plucky robot called Hitchbot took a chance on people and hit the road with one thumb in the air. That’s right, this hitchhiking robot managed to bum a ride from Halifax, Nova Scotia to Victoria, British Columbia in under a month, all thanks to the kindness of strangers. The masterminds behind the project wanted to flip an old idea—a fear—on its head. We’ll let them tell you how Hitchbot hit the road.

Pier 21 The Death Ship Maersk Dubai Halifax Nova Scotia
On 12 March 1996, two Romanian stowaways, Radu Danciu and Petre Sangeorzan, were discovered on the container ship Maersk Dubai and ordered overboard on a makeshift raft, approximately 70 kilometres off the coast of Gibraltar. On 18 May of the same year, while the vessel was en route to the Port of Halifax, Nova Scotia, another Romanian, Gheorghe Mihoc, was found hiding in a large cargo container, and was forced overboard at knife point by Captain Sheng Hsiu and four of his officers. A fourth stowaway, Nicolae Pasca, was discovered by Filipino crew member Rodolpho Rudy Miguel, and kept hidden until the ship arrived at Halifax, where eight Filipino crewmen (including Miguel) jumped ship and reported the incident to the authorities.
Upon arrival in Halifax the Maersk Dubai was stormed by the Royal Canadian Mounted Police (RCMP), and Captain Hsiu and his Taiwanese officers were arrested and charged with first degree murder. The radio operator attempted to escape by jumping into the harbour, and was later arrested. Captain Hsiu attempted to deny access to the ship under international shipping laws.
A spokesman for Yang Ming Lines, owner of the Maersk Dubai, claimed the Filipino crew members had made false accusations in retaliation for a dispute over wages. The Filipino crewmen maintained that the stowaways had been thrown overboard in order to avoid paying a fine of US$5090 for each illegal immigrant brought into Canada. Craig Garson, QC, Duncan Beveridge, QC, Kevin Coady, David Bright, Warren Zimmer, Josh Arnold and Kevin Burke QC represented the Taiwanese crew members charged with murder who were involved in the extradition process. Lee Cohen, a Halifax immigration lawyer, acted on behalf of some of the Filipino crew members, while the Republic of China (Taiwan) retained the services of the Canadian criminal lawyer Edward Greenspan.
Taiwan protested the storming of the ship and the arrest of the officers, and contested the attempt by Canadian authorities to extradite them to Romania, citing Article 92 of the UN Convention on the Law of the Sea. Article 92 states that Ships shall sail under the flag of one state only and, save in exceptional cases expressly provided for in international treaties or in this Convention, shall be subject to its exclusive jurisdiction on the high seas. Article 97 of the same Law further holds that no arrest or detention of the ship, even as a measure of investigation, shall be ordered by any authorities other than those of the flag state. The flag state in this case was the Republic of China, which owns Yang Ming Lines.
You Shar Cheng, the Taiwanese crew member represented by lawyer Josh Arnold, was discharged during the course of the extradition hearing when the Crown's witness recanted his allegations against Cheng during cross examination. Cheng was then allowed to leave Canada facing no charges, and returned home.
Some of the other Taiwanese officers were eventually extradited to Taiwan. Captain Hsiu was charged with criminal negligence causing death and was subsequently acquitted for lack of evidence regarding the stowaways' deaths. None of the other officers were brought to trial.
Several crew members claimed they saw no sign of the makeshift raft after the ship had passed, and believed that it might have been dragged under by the ship's wake. The three stowaways were never seen again. Their families received an out-of-court settlement after filing civil suit against Yang Ming Lines.
The surviving stowaway is now[when?] living in the United States. Four of the Filipino crewmen who reported the incident have remained in Halifax, and three of them now work for the Canadian Coast Guard. Their families in the Philippines were reported[by whom?] to have gone into hiding during the proceedings for fear of reprisals by agents hired by Yang Ming Lines.
The incident was one of the main themes of progressive metal band Savatage's concept album The Wake of Magellan. A partially fictionalized version of the incident was the plot of the book The Stowaway by Robert Hough..

Driving Around Sydney, Nova Scotia - Dashcam Timelapse
Check out the drive into Sydney, Nova Scotia, on beautiful Cape Breton Island. This drive begins in Westmount (directly across the harbor, with a great view of Sydney), and takes you south into Sydney River, then north on Trunk 4 into downtown Sydney -- arriving just in time to watch a cruise ship depart from the World's Biggest Fiddle.
MyDrivelapse.com and Takemytrip.com provide driving videos and stories to help you plan your trip. Check out hundreds of videos on my YouTube channel. Subscribe if you like it! Dozens of new videos are on the way in the coming weeks.
I made this trip in early October, 2016. Video shot with a Brinno TLC-200 Pro time-lapse camera, mounted on my roof with a homemade magnetic case. I travel with two Brinno cameras - one facing forward, the other in reverse. Sometimes the reverse camera captures better video (fewer raindrops and bugs hit the rear-view lens).

Family RVing in Canada // Ferry to NOVA SCOTIA // You Be You with Zack Saint
This week we had the opportunity to take our motorhome on the Northumberland Ferry Line across the Northumberland Strait from PEI to Nova Scotia! We didn't even know you could take your RV on a ferry. What an adventure! They packed us in like sardines with several other heavy buses and semi trucks and we floated across to the other side in less than an hour and a half, which saved us MANY hours of driving. That was definitely a first for us in our rv life!
Once across, we quickly made our way to Truro where we met up with a fellow YouTuber, Zack Saint, who talked video games with our boys and shared with us the vision for his channel with us, which is to encourage others to be themselves and be passionate about what they love no matter what people may think or say! Zack is a great guy and we want to encourage everyone to go check out his channel here on YouTube, especially if you love games and other nerdery :) Thanks for hanging out with us and showing us around your beautiful hometown, Zack!!!

Zack's Vlog (his perspective on our day together):
Later in the week, while Trent was flying to Louisiana, Siobhan took the boys to the oldest drive-in diner in Canada, The Chickenburger! Started in 1940, they were putting chicken on a bun before Chick-fil-a was even thought of ;) We love us some Chick-fil-a, but The Chickenburger was such a unique, fun experience! chickenburger.com
After The Chickenburger we got to use our family ASTC reciprocal museum membership to visit the Discovery Centre in Halifax. What a blast! We truly love being able to visit children's museums all over the country (and outside too) with our whole family...many of them completely free!!!! It's perfect for family travel!
