Welcome to Nova Scotia!
From May 27th to June 6th, 2017, we toured Nova Scotia as part of the Road to 150 campaign. It was our second province during our 150-day road trip and what an incredible time we had. From the absolute natural beauty of Cape Breton Highlands National Park to the historic beauty of Halifax, the small town charm of Lunenburg, and the excitement of tidal bore rafting, Nova Scotia is an incredible province to explore. Although we accomplished a lot in ten days, we really only scratched the surface of this incredible east coast province. Whether you're looking for that laid back East Coast charm, maritime history, or incredible natural wonders, Nova Scotia is the place to visit!
Canada's Road to 150 is a 150-day Canada-wide multimedia road trip celebrating Canada's 150th birthday by exploring the uniqueness of this country provincially and collectively while answering the question; What makes Canada special?
We will drive to and through every driveable province and territory, showcasing Canada's natural beauty and regional attractions while interviewing Canadians of all cultures and backgrounds, including local celebrities, immigrants, refugees, and everyday rural and urban Canadians. Our aim is to dig deep into what makes Canada such an incredibly inspiring country while showing off the best of Canada's tourism to Canadians and to the world.

Oakfield Provincial Park | Halifax | Subtitles | Nova Scotia | Canada
In this video we are exploring Oakfield Provincial Park in Nova Scotia Canada. It is located about 20 minutes outside of the city (Halifax) near the airport.
There are numerous trails to hike (about 5 kms of hiking trails) and a lake. This is a day use area. You can camp at Laurie Park about 2 kms down the road.
Oakfield Provincial Park is one of closest Nova Scotia Provincial Parks to Halifax. Although there is no camping in this park, it is right next door to Laurie Park, which is a great spot to do some camping in Nova Scotia and is a great ns campground.
If you are looking for some Halifax rec activities, this is a great way to get outside, and still be close to the city. It offers for great hiking trails in Halifax and some of the most well kept hiking trails in Nova Scotia.
Please note, this video is in English, but as subtitles. It has English Subtitles, French Subtitles, Spanish Subtitles and Japanese Subtitles.
