Niagara Falls, Canada to Michigan and Indiana | 10K Road Trip Vlog 39
We drive over 600 miles in this video, from Niagara Falls, all around Michigan, and finally ending up in Indiana. The highlight for Isa was definitely the blizzard with nerds. Also, who knew Canada was that green?
This vlog moves pretty quick from one place to the next. We were really just in sightseeing mode - not really exploring and learning about places like normal. It's a little different feel to the video than others, but we were having a good time and we hope you like it. :)
Timestamps! In this video, we visit:
0:01 - Niagara Falls
1:32 - Farmland in Canada
1:57 - Lake Huron and Harbor Beach, Michigan
2:07 - Eastpointe, MI (outside Detroit)
2:29 - the Dairy Queen with nerds!!
3:53 - Ann Arbor, MI
4:14 - a super-amazing Airbnb in Westville, IN
We are still getting back into the road trip flow of things since relaxing for a few weeks in New York. But tomorrow is Chicago and then we hit new adventures pretty much every day after that, so we'll be back to normal videos soon. Yay!
Hope you're having a great day! Thanks for checking in with us.

Exploring a Closed Theme Park - History, Theme & Amusement
Have you ever wondered what's it's like to explore and walk through a closed theme park? Well it definitely gives off the abandoned theme park vibe, especially the log flume ride that's for sure. Amusement parks have been entertaining people since the 1800's and with the birth of theme parks in the 1950s, hundreds of parks have come and gone all throughout the United States and Canada. Buckle up as we take a look at the Centreville Theme Park in Toronto and what the park is like when its closed up for the season. Centreville is a 14 acre theme park located on the Toronto Islands in Toronto Ontario, Canada. Centreville will open again on the first weekend in May 2019. DON'T FORGET TO LIKE AND SUBSCRIBE!*** ► ◄

My Nova Scotia: Farm to Table
In FARM TO TABLE, Zoe starts out in Halifax with Claire of Local Tasting Tours, to get a feel for the food scene in Halifax. Upon sampling some delicious ice cream from DeeDee's, however, she decides that she must go straight to the source for this assignment. She travels to farm country in the Annapolis Valley and faces her biggest challenge yet. She must fend off her overwhelming desire to make a film about the cuteness of piglets, and instead help Chef Michael Howell prepare for his pop-up restaurant at Taproot Farms. Will she succeed? Nobody knows. Those piglets are irresistible.

Gateway Theatre of Shopping has become one of the greatest super-centres on the African continent, since its opening in September 2001. With an array of accolades and awards it has been recognized by local and international retailers as being one of the few truly world-class shopping experiences in Africa. 20160701 Canada Day Part 2 Ashbridges Bay Toronto Fireworks
This is the second part of my Canada Day activities report. What would Canada Day be without fireworks? In Toronto, we only celebrate two holidays with fireworks, and in recent years, Canada Day fireworks have been bigger than Victoria's Day fireworks. Also, this year they were held at more locations around the GTA. But the best known is the Ashbridge's Bay display in the Beaches district of Toronto, and this is the first time I have recorded them.
I would like to say everything went smoothly, but by now you know that it never happens that way. I might describe some of the problems elsewhere.
One thing that went well was that I did arrive at the site in time to catch rock band Sloan performing at the Molson's Beach Party, which I recorded with a Garmin VIRB (Posted as Part 1 of this report). So I ended up with two videos to post from this event, which does make me quite happy.
If you are in Canada, whatever you did on Canada Day, I hope you had a good, safe, enjoyable holiday. For those in the US, I wish you similarly a good safe, enjoyable holiday for your Independence Day.
Tech Talk:
I have been planning this project for over a year. Ok, I did not have it on my mind every minute of every day, but I did begin planning it over a year ago. In fact, my first outing to see the fireworks was last year's Canada Day. I took cameras and equipment and prepped for it, but I did not expect to get a good result. It was worse than I expected. I did not arrive until after the fireworks were over. So my first lesson was to leave much earlier to get there at a reasonable time. I left home this time at about 19:15. The fireworks were scheduled for 22:00. I traveled entirely by TTC (busses and subway -- and walking).
This year, I also took a new camcorder. I bought an SJCAM M20, and had just enough time to test and prep it for this event. It is now a slightly modified camcorder, having been re-focused. The primary settings were ISO 100, Daylight colour balance, 2K @ 30 fps., Sound = 3, No view angle adjustment and Gyro stabilizing ON.
Exposure had to be cut down, so I also added a polarizing filter, which could also be considered a modification.
Processing was done on Magix Movie Edit Pro 2016 Plus, updated, running on an ASUS M32BF (AMD A8-6500) on Windows 8.1.
