Is This Indiana House the ‘Portal to Hell'?
In 2014, Inside Edition was given unprecedented access to a home considered by locals in Gary, Indiana, as the “Portal to Hell.” The home was purchased by “Ghost Adventures” host Zak Bagans after the family living there reported strange voices in the basement, an apparition in the front window and strange occurrences compared to scenes from the “Exorcist” or “Poltergeist” films.
USS INDIANAPOLIS (CA-35) - WikiVidi Documentary
USS Indianapolis was a heavy cruiser of the United States Navy. She was named for the city of Indianapolis, Indiana. She was the flagship of Admiral Raymond Spruance while he commanded the Fifth Fleet in battles across the Central Pacific. Her sinking led to the greatest single loss of life at sea in the history of the U.S. Navy. On 30 July 1945, after a high-speed trip to deliver parts for Little Boy, the first atomic bomb used in combat, to the United States air base at Tinian, the ship was torpedoed by the Imperial Japanese Navy submarine while on her way to the Philippines, sinking in 12 minutes. Of 1,196 crewmen aboard, approximately 300 went down with the ship. The remaining 900 faced exposure, dehydration, saltwater poisoning, and shark attacks while floating with few lifeboats and almost no food or water. The Navy learned of the sinking when survivors were spotted four days later by the crew of a PV-1 Ventura on routine patrol. Only 317 survived....

FEMA CAMP/FUSION CENTER FOUND IN INDIANAPOLIS!................? PART 1
closed down mall in Indianapolis, has all the sinister signs of being some kind of covert detention center and or a intergrated D.H.S/Police Hub, also there are clues that possibly indicate, Data collection is going on there, similar to a Threat Fusion center, or N.S.A, the mall is walled off, and their is a cysco building connected to the property, In the back of the Mall I filmed black police? S.U.V's leaving the property, and also noticed they had a black M.R.A.P vehicle parked back there given to them by the united states military which cost roughly a quarter of a million dollars each, that can be equipped with Machine Gun Turrets, and the armor on it and windows can stop all ammunition up to and including 50. caliber. Martinesville Police, in Indiana also has had a M.R.A.P vehicle donated to their department by the military industrial complex, the mall building is two stories, and can easily hold thousands of American citizens, or possibly thousands of hispanics with deseases and gang tattoo's on there necks.............location is east Washington st. and Shortridge, and 10th and shadeland Also Indianapolis Mayor Greg Ballard a retired Marine, gave the military that location to do urban warfare training there a few years ago, in which the military repelled down ropes from BlackHawk Helecopters to the roof of the closed down mall.......
Tony Kiritsis 911 call Uncensored Tape
On Tuesday, February 8, 1977, Tony Kiritsis took Dick Hall hostage in Indianapolis, Indiana. After walking into the building at 129 East Market Street he went up to the 4th floor where the Meridian Mortgage offices were located. There he tied his dead man's line around Richard Hall and then dialed 911. This video is the entire 911 call made that day from Kiritsis. Please be warned this video has a lot of expletives.

On Tuesday, February 8, 1977, Kiritsis went to Hall's office and wired a sawed-off shotgun to his head. The other end of the wire was connected to the trigger and then to Hall's neck. This dead man's line meant that if a policeman shot Kiritsis, the shotgun would go off and shoot Hall in the head. The same would happen if Hall tried to escape. Kiritsis called the police from Hall's office and told the police he had taken Hall as a hostage.
Kiritsis held Hall hostage for 63 hours. During this time, most of which was spent in Kiritsis's apartment, he frequently made calls to 1070 WIBC newsman Fred Heckman, who broadcast what Kiritsis said. Finally, a lawyer said Hall had signed a document stating that he had mistreated Kiritsis, would pay him $5 million, and that Kiritsis would not be prosecuted or even arrested. Kiritsis then held a speech in front of live TV cameras, declaring himself a goddamned national hero. His speech became so emotional that some journalists thought he would shoot Hall, so they terminated the live broadcast. Eventually, however, Kiritsis released Hall. To prove the gun had been loaded, he fired it into the air, and was immediately arrested. He was found not guilty by reason of insanity.
Most people who knew Kiritsis had good things to say about him and were surprised at what he had done. Kiritsis is described as always helpful and kind to his neighbors, a hard worker, and a strict law-and-order sort of man. Kiritsis also said several times that he didn't want anyone to get hurt and apologized for the way he treated Dick Hall. At his trial psychiatrists said he was psychotic and in a paranoid delusional state during the hostage incident.
Later life
Kiritsis was released from a mental institution in January 1988, after the state could not prove he was still a danger to society. Kiritsis died in January 2005 at his home of natural causes. He was 72 years old.
Effects of the case
At the time of the trial, Indiana law (and that of some other states) required the prosecution to disprove a defendant's claim of insanity, i.e. to prove the defendant sane, beyond a reasonable doubt. Directly as a result of the Kiritsis trial—particularly the testimony of chief defense psychiatrist Larry M. Davis—and the trial of John Hinckley, Jr., Indiana among other states substantially revised their law to place the burden of proof for insanity-pleading defendants squarely on the shoulders of the defense.
John H. Blair, a freelance photographer for UPI, took a photograph of the incident which won him the 1978 Pulitzer Prize for Spot News Photography.
Footage of the incident was included in the 1982 documentary The Killing of America as one of many examples of violence in the United States.

History of slavery in Indiana
Slavery in Indiana occurred between the time of French rule during the late seventeenth century and 1826, with a few traces of slavery afterward. When the United States first forcibly removed the Native Americans from the region, slavery was accepted as a necessity to keep peace with the Indians and the French. When the Indiana Territory was established in 1800, William Henry Harrison, a former slaveholder, was appointed governor and slavery continued to be tolerated through a series of laws enacted by the appointed legislature.
Opposition to slavery began to organize in Indiana around 1805, and in 1809 abolitionists took control of the territorial legislature and overturned many of the laws permitting retaining of slaves. By the time Indiana was granted statehood in 1816, the abolitionists were in firm control and slavery was banned in the constitution. In 1820, an Supreme Court of Indiana ruling in Polly v. Lasselle freed all the remaining slaves in the state. An additional Supreme Court ruling in 1821 freed indentured servant Mary Bateman Clark, helping to bring an end to indentured servitude.
With the end of slavery in the state, Indiana became a border state with the southern slave states. Hoosiers like Levi Coffin came to play an important role in the Underground Railroad that helped many slaves escape from the South. Indiana remained anti-slavery and in the American Civil War remained with the Union and contributed men to the war.
