LACE MONITOR GOANNA bribie island AUSTRALIA
We were walking a track on the north end of Bribie Island, Queensland Australia, when we hear this loud crashing through the brush. This 6 foot lizard thing goes charging past us and climbs up the nearest tree. Now we know that it was a Goanna or Australian Monitor LIzard and that they climb the nearest thing for protection when they are threatened. They may try to climb people but mostly do not pose a threat.
