This Is Me ... coming face to face with my worse holiday nightmare in Turkey.
Turkey is a Eurasian country located in Southeastern Europe. Istanbul, the capital, is filled with grand mosques, derelict buildings and a whole lot of kebab shops. It's a dense city with lots of character, cheap eats and culture.
I booked a Gallipoli and Troy 2-day tour with Fez Travel and on the long bus ride from Istanbul to Cannakale, we stopped off at a rest stop with... squat toilets. This is me discovering my worst holiday nightmare.
Tip: Make sure you check every cubicle... Fortunately, there were also normal toilets... who would voluntarily elect to use a squat over a normal toilet??

I visited the country on a Twins That Travel Tour, which is one of many guided tours in Turkey. If you're unsure of what to visit in Turkey and how to make it happen then this is a perfect adventure.
We saw all the major tourist spots in Istanbul, went to local restaurants, some of which had epic rooftop views, especially at sunset, and enjoyed a relaxing hammam experience.
