Pampas del Yacuma | Tour 3D/2N
Hola Mundo!

by Valerio Giulianelli - Potosi, the highest “Ciudad del mundo, is located 4090 meters above the sea level. The city also called “El Cerro Rico” was born and prospered because of the presence of minerals in the subsoil, especially silver. But the veins of this mineral are exhausted and mining seems to be vanishing currently.
The complex history of this city in Bolivia, due to the presence of the Spanish who exploited intensively the silver mines and subjecting the indigenous population to slavery, is reflected in its beautiful narrow streets, colonial villas and its many churches, which led to become a World Heritage Site by Unesco . This video is a part of the DVD BOLIVIA that illustrates the work done by the Franciscan Missionary Sisters of Fiesole and that they participate in Bolivia in favor of indigenous women of the Bolivian highlands.
