Ultimate Mexican street food tour in GUADALAJARA, Mexico | Best TACOS de BARBACOA in Guadalajara
BEST BARBACOA TACOS in GUADALAJARA, MEXICO | Massive Mexican street food tour in Guadalajara
We're in Mexico's second biggest city, Guadalajara in the state of Jalisco. In this video we share with you some of the Guadalajara's best street food in the neighbourhood of Santa Tere. We start with the famous breakfast dish of barbacoa tacos. Here in Guadalajara the barbacoa is made from slow cooked beef in a tomato and chill sauce. The barbacoa is put into tortillas, topped with onions and then half fried on the hot plate. The result is a crunchy, juicy, delicious mess! Next up we head to the Mercado Santa Tere- a local market which is utterly charming and has a great community spirit. We eat chile rellenos at a fonda and then sip the famous Versace juice from Titas. Then it's over the road to a popular local dessert shop for jerricallas- Jalisco's famous dessert- a baked custard with a burnt top. We went with another classic- carne en su jugo- meat in its juices- a dish which is the personification of comfort food! We hope you enjoy this massive Mexican street food tour in Guadalajara, Jalisco! #mexicanstreetfood #mexicanfood #guadalajarafood

Best Food & Burgers in Guadalajara, Mexico!
About a month or so ago, Jay & I were looking for a place to visit that was different, we loaded up Skyscanner and came across a cheap ticket to Guadalajara, Mexico. I don't think I've ever met anyone whose ever been there, and knew nothing about it myself. So we purchased the tickets, met up with our friend Ryan, none of us spoke Spanish, and here's what happened. The is our journey compiled into 1 day.

We're going DEEP to try it all in this video, trying out spicy salsas in the local market and traveling to taste a lot of Mexican specialties! Just watching the cooking in the market will blow you away, there is so much to taste and try around every corner.
We visited the tlacolula Sunday street food market outside of Oaxaca to try some local, authentic Mexican foods and found a big street with tons of different vendors all lined up serving a huge variety of different foods to taste.
Here is a list of the foods we found at the market outside of Oaxaca, Mexico:
1) MESSY Carnitas tacos - served with a selection of 3 different spicy salsas and with two corn tortillas to keep all the JUICY pork meat inside! Super delicious!
2) BIG stuffed and folded over tortilla known as the tlayuda, a true Oaxacan food specialty! It was served with Oaxacan string cheese, salsa, guacamole, and spicy chorizo sausage
3) Delicious Mexican BBQ - Here we found the meat lane, serving up a ton of different different cuts of meat, from thinly sliced beef and pork to the amazing and spicy chorizo sausage, it was all super delicious!
4) Cow foot soup also known as caldo de pata, made with a rich tomato broth full of spices and served with nice jelly like cow feet, this was definitely a must try dish in Oaxaca!
5) Super plump pork sandwich bun. This was made from pork head meat and was super delicious when drizzled in the slightly spicy salsa verde! Very tasty and worth trying!
These are just some of the foods you can try in Oaxaca, Mexico. You could travel here and spend years trying new foods, it really is that delicious!

In this episode of Regional Eats we're trying tortas ahogadas. This OG food hybrid of both soup and sandwich originates in Guadalajara, and I'm kind of obsessed. It's the perfect hangover cure after a trip to the nearby town of Tequila!

GUADALAJARA - A City Tour!!
Are you wondering what it's like in Guadalajara? We took a Guadalajara tour on a double-decker bus to Tonala, Tlaquepaque, back to Guadalajara, and finally to Zapopan.

We had an amazing time exploring on this bus tour, Guadalajara and the surrounding cities. We spent the entire day these beautiful cities. Sure, we 100% looked like Guadalajara tourists, but that’s okay. We got to see the art in Tlaquepaque, the old buildings of Guadalajara, the street vendors in Tonala, and El Centro in Zapopan.
We ate some amazing food in Tlaquepaque, saw so many sights of Guadalajara, bought street food in Tonala, and explored so much of Guadalajara. We highly recommend doing the Tapatio Tour.

The Original Taco Bell Tacos - MEXICAN STREET FOOD Tour in Los Angeles, California!

Thanks to Jeffrey Merrihue ( and Austin Burgess (
Along with Jeffrey and Austin - two food extreme friends, we set off on a day of Mexican food and fun feasting in greater LA.
Gilberto’s Taquiza - For the first stop on this Mexican street food tour, we drove all the way to West Covina, California, about 45 minutes from Central Los Angeles, to a little spot known as Gilberto’s Taquiza. Jeffrey made sure to call Gilberto himself to reserve some of the meat dripping dynamite sticks to make sure we had some. The dynamite sticks are essentially stewed lamb, cooked until fall apart tender and dripping with oil. In order to make them he dunked a tortilla into the hot oil, sizzled it on the hot plate, filled it with the fall apart tender meat, and rolled it up into a taquito. The result was spectacular. Everything else was delicious too, but the dynamite sticks were crazily good.
Total price - $35 for everything
Birrieria Guadalajara - Next we drove a little further towards Riverside, California, to eat birria, a special Mexican goat stew. Again, this is another Mexican food that just melts in your mouth, meat cooked until fall apart tender. It was spectacular and all the staff were very friendly as well.
Total price - $32 for everything
Mitla Cafe - Right across the street from Birrieria Guadalajara you will find Mitla Cafe, home to the original crunchy American taco. An American taco is a crunchy shell, ground beef, iceberg lettuce, yellow cheese, and tame salsa. As the true story goes, Glen Bell was selling food across the street and used to come to Mitla Cafe to eat their amazing crunchy tacos. Eventually he got the owner to show him how to make the crunchy tacos, and he later started the entire taco bell empire. The downside is that he never admitted that he got the idea and recipe from Mitla Cafe. It’s nice to see Mitla Cafe is still doing very well, and their crunchy American tacos are fantastic.
Price - $13.95
Taco Bell - Yes, just for comparison purposes, we had to go to the nearly Taco Bell. It had been years since I had last eaten taco bell. I have to admit the crunchy tacos were decent, but the crunchwrap supreme doritos locos thing we order, nope. That just didn’t do it for me.
Mariscos Jalisco - Finally to end this Mexican street food tour of LA, we headed to Mariscos Jalisco, a legendary seafood truck serving their famous shrimp tostadas and the Poseidon. They were delicious in every dimension, and it was the perfect ending to this full day of amazing Mexican food in LA.
Total price - $13 for everything
Thank you for watching this LA food video!

Tulum, Quintana Roo, Mexico:
My wife Ying and I, and our baby Micah, traveled to Mexico with my friend Carlos and his family. I met Carlos many years ago in University in Phoenix, Arizona, and he’s originally from Sonora, in Northern Mexico. Throughout University, Carlos and I would eat Mexican food non-stop, and we dreamed of traveling in Mexico to experience more. Finally we made this trip happen!
We actually flew into Cancun, and then immediately drove down to Playa Del Carmen where we based ourselves. On our first day we decided to take a day trip to Tulum, a small town on the Riviera Maya coast, and one of the official historical port cities of the Maya.
Taquería Honorio - First things first, we started off with some breakfast tacos at a well known Mexican street food spot in Tulum. I had a mix of four different types of tacos, all of which were extraordinary, but probably the best was the lechon, the roast suckling pig. This is a must eat tacos restaurant when you’re in Tulum.
Price for my plate - 64 MXN ($3.45)
Ruins of Tulum - 70 MXN ($3.77) - One of the main attractions in Tulum are the ancient Mayan ruins. It’s a beautiful place, and what makes it so incredible are not only the ruins, but the fact that they are right up along the gorgeous turquoise Caribbean coast. It was great to walk around, even though it was packed with visitors.
Playa Paraiso - Next we drove over to Playa Paraiso, just down the beach from the Ruins of Tulum, which crystal sparkling water.
Chamico’s - By lunchtime we were all very hungry, so we drove over to a place called Chamico’s a spot I had searched out on Google maps. Just from the photos it looked like a place I needed to go, from the relaxing atmosphere to the amazing fresh seafood. It was just as good as I had imagined. The restaurant was right along the beach, breezy, and the Mexican food was amazing. We had a few plates of ceviche, fried fish, and a shrimp cocktail.
Total price (for 4) - 1,180 MXN ($63.53)
Tulum, Mexico, is a true beach paradise, and it’s an amazing place to visit in Mexico. Thank you for watching!
