Our MOST INTERESTING Food Tour + Tbilisi Sulfur Bath Experience
Travel vlog 542 // Tbilisi, Georgia // Country #78 // We planned our own food tour by making a list of 9 traditional Georgian foods to try all in one day. Highlights include teaching our friend Charlie how to eat khinkali & visiting a local market where a Georgian lady took us under her wing and let us try everything at her stall (including homemade Cha Cha). The rest of the day didn’t go as planned, but we tried to make up for it by showing you our traditional Georgian sulfur bath experience ;)

Originally from Nashville, Tennessee, we got married June 2013 and quickly caught the travel bug! We started “travel hacking” and taking more trips together and finally decided we wanted to travel for one year. After 2 years of saving $ and travel hacking over 2 million miles and points, we sold our cars and apartment and left home January 10, 2016. We started this YouTube channel to share our experiences with friends and family, then decided we really liked vlogging and traveling. So we extended our 1 year trip to THREE years :) Now we have a goal of traveling to 100 countries before 2020! We are incredibly thankful to do something we love every day. :)
Trying STREET FOOD in TBILISI GEORGIA! | Georgian Food Vlog
Take even a short tour of Tbilisi and you'll probably notice the amount of amazing street food spots around. After two weeks of living in Tbilisi Georgia, we decided it was time to try some of the local Georgian snacks.
Georgian food is so good that Georgia has easily earned a spot in my top 3 countries for food. But what about the snacks and street food? In this Tbilisi vlog, I'm taste testing whatever food I come across as I walk around the streets of Tbilisi.
Join me as I try some of the Tbilisi street food including churchkhela, lobiani, ice cream rolls, pomegranate juice and bubble waffles. Yum! If you've ever been to Tbilisi I'd love to know what foods you enjoyed and what you think I should try next.
As always, thanks for watching and I hope you enjoyed this video! I'll be filming at least a few more videos here in Georgia over the next couple of weeks so make sure you're subscribed to see them all. There will be more of Tbilisi, the capital of Georgia, more adventures and of course there will be more Georgian food!

We've been living in Tbilisi Georgia for nearly a month and, unlike other places, we've eaten Georgian food every single day. Because the food in Tbilisi is AMAZING!
In today's video - and my final travel vlog from Georgia, sob! - I want to show you some of my favourite Georgian foods as we head our for our final dinner in Tbilisi. I didn't know what to expect when we arrived in Georgia in any way, but I wish I'd known how good the food is! I'll definitely be looking for Georgian restaurants and more chances to try Georgian food on my travels from now on.
In this food video, we try seven of our the best foods in Tbilisi. Here they are in order:
1 - Eggplant rolls with walnut
2 - Satsivi (with salmon)
3 - Tolma
4 - Soko ketse - mushrooms with cheese
5 - Khachapuri/Georgian pizza
6 - Khinkali
7 - Mtsvadi
If you ever travel to Tbilisi Georgia, these are just some of the Georgian foods you NEED to try. The only one we didn't have in this video was beans in a pot, but check out the linked card to see that.
As always, thank you for watching! I hope you've enjoyed these Georgia vlogs as much as I've enjoyed making them for you. And I'll see you in Crete!

GEORGIAN TRADITIONAL VEGAN FOOD TOUR | Tbilisi, Georgia ????????
TBILISI, GEORGIA - Everything you’ve heard about Georgia, the country, is absolutely true; The people, the food, the hospitality, the architecture and the scenery are astonishing in Georgia. I have absolutely fallen in love with this small country nestled in the Caucasus region near the Black Sea. On my first day in Tbilisi, Georgia I set out to explore Old Town Tbilisi and the Georgian food scene, that’s what we do here at Globivore! First, I stopped near a famous bakery that doesn’t have a name, address or number but is across the street from the Tbilisi History Museum & Sioni Cathedral. This bakery is one of the hidden gems in Tbilisi. Next, as I continued on my way, I stumbled across the juice man who was selling freshly squeezed pomegranate juice. Pomegranates are ubiquitous across this region of the world and I highly recommend that you indulge in a succulent, refreshing glass of pomegranate juice during your stay. Lastly, I stopped at a famous restaurant in Old Town Tbilisi, which was given to me by a local, called Chashnagiri Leselidze. Here we explore a number of traditional Georgian dishes including Khinkali, Lobiani, Soko Kecze.
If you enjoy beautiful scenery, architecture and love to indulge in traditional Georgian cuisine, I highly recommend you to visit the country of Georgia on your next adventure. Remember to add Tbilisi to your itinerary. Don’t miss the opportunity to explore this beautiful country.

Street Food Fest - Tbilisi City Fest
Street Food Fest - Tbilisi City Fest
Every autumn there's a festival in Tbilisi, Georgia. Each region brings its traditional food and wine there in these days. They cook very delicious Georgian meals and host guests. The name of the festival is Tbilisoba.
Also you may see other foreign countries' cuisines there.
I advise to visit this festival in Tbilisi.

TBILISI OLD TOWN RESTAURANT & FREE WALKING TOUR | Tbilisi, Georgia ????????
TBILISI, GEORGIA - Everything you’ve heard about Georgia, the country, is absolutely true; The people, the food, the hospitality, the architecture and the scenery are astonishing in Georgia. I have absolutely fallen in love with this small country nestled in the Caucasus region near the Black Sea. On my second day in Tbilisi, Georgia, I started the day by visiting a famous restaurant in the center of Old Town Tbilisi called, Samikitno. Now from a variety perspective, this restaurant had every traditional Georgian dish available for a plant based/vegan lifestyle. But to be honest, the food just lacked flavor and seasoning that I’ve tasted at other Georgian restaurants. I still recommend visiting this restaurant because it resembles traditional Georgian culture. Next I wandered my way up to Liberty Square to connect with Tbilisi Hack Free Tours to journey around Tbilisi on a free walking tour. Our tour guide, Feiya, took us on a three hour plus jaunt throughout Tbilisi where we visited a number of famous attractions including Mother of Georgia, The Bridge of Peace, Rike Park and Tbilisi Central Mosque.
If you enjoy beautiful scenery, architecture and love to indulge in traditional Georgian cuisine, I highly recommend you to visit the country of Georgia on your next adventure. Remember to add Tbilisi to your itinerary. Don’t miss the opportunity to explore this beautiful country.

Georgia is fueled with a truly rich cuisine, and there are so many unique flavours we did not have the opportunity to try during our stay. To fix this: we got together with Real Georgia Tours and went on a food tour!
Our wonderful guide Maria took us around the area of Sololaki where we stopped at many restaurants, cafes and the special Chacha Corner, a purveyor of some of the finest chacha found in Georgia.
When we started the evening, we had empty stomachs that were quickly filled with delicious Georgian food, and thanks to Maria, we left knowing so much more about the city too!

Georgia 2018 - Day 1: Old Tbilisi City Tour
2018-02-24 We took a cab from the hotel to Meidan Square to have lunch in the famous Machakhela-Samikitno Restaurant ( We had Khinkali ( and pork shank with grilled sausages and ate our hearts out; our total bill was GEL 48.25 (approx. USD20).
After our sumptuous late lunch/early dinner, we head off to City Sightseeing Tbilisi ( to book our Gudauri and Kakheti Tour. It is better to book here than the small local tour agencies outside meidan square because their staff are very professional and their tours are informative and properly organized.
We rode the cable car/rope way from Rike Park to Narikala Fortress ( costs GEL 12 (approx. USD 5) for 2 passengers, this includes the metromoney card (2GEL) + 2-way cable car ride @ GEL 2.50 per ride per passenger). The cable car is a great way to have a 360 degrees panoramic view of Tbilisi City Centre.
At the Cable Car Upper Station, you may walk towards the Kartlis Deda/Mother of Georgia ( or explore the Narikala Fortress ( and the National Botanical Garden of Georgia ( We decide to walk down from the Narikala fortress back to Meidan square and got exhausted with the steep road. I was a bit scared because it felt like gravity is pulling me fast, thank God we were able to reach our destination safe and sound.
We walked Meidan Square to Liberty/Freedom Square ( via Kote Afkhazi Street and called it a night.

Get ready to #SpendYourSummerinGeorgia
I was first introduced to country of Georgia through it's amazing food and wine. Then I heard about the 1 year visa on arrival. I was sold. But there was so little information about what life would actually be like here in the capital city of Tbilisi for digital nomads, expats or even long term slow travelers that it still felt a bit like a risk. I had no idea what part of the city I should live in, where to cowork out of, or even what gym to go to. But now that I've been here for over a month and have explored the city, met a ton of long term expats and digital nomads who have settled down here, I'm writing this post to help those who want to come for their first time.
In this blog post, travel guide, I'll answer all of your questions in terms of when the best time to come is, weather year round, the best neighborhoods to stay in, where to work or cowork from, how to meet other digital nomads, expats, what the social and dating life is like here, as well as the practical things like costs of living, travel, things to do, and other fun things. We'll be looking into the best Georgian foods to eat, my favorite wines, restaurants, coffee shops, cafes, coworking spaces, gyms, how to get a SIM card with data, wifi speeds, all of that good stuff. Plus I'll be introducing a section about dangers and annoyances just like lonely planet does, but more of the downsides catered towards digital nomads and long term travelers than a weekend tourist. Lets get started! Read:

In this video, we are having our lunch at Armazis Kheoba Restaurant in Mtskheta. The restaurant had a rustic less impressive look from its gate, but once inside I was amazed by its lovely ambiance and vast dining space with the Mtkvari river as its backdrop. We enjoyed Georgian Chicken Fry, Georgian Pork Barbeque, Chicken in Walnut Sauce and wine.

Georgia is in Europe, not the United States. ... One definition of Europe marks the Caucasus Mountains as its border, putting Georgia firmly in Asia. Other definitions place the whole Caucasus region, including Georgia, in Europe which is where most Georgians feel it belongs.
