Fort Erie Railway Museum: Canadian National 6218
This is our first video to feature a Canadian National Steam Locomotive. Years ago Seth saw this locomotive while driving home with his family in 2003, now 14 years later he finally got to see the locomotive.
On June 24th, 2017 Set went to the Fort Erie Railway Museum. The Fort Erie Railway Museum has Ridgeway Station, which was moved to the museum grounds in the 70s, as well as A Grand Trunk Railroad Station. The Museums center piece is the 4-8-4, Northern Canadian National 6218. The 6218 was built in the Montreal Locomotive works in 1942. It was retired in 1960, and ran excursions from the 1960s to 1973. It was then donated to Fort Erie. Now it needs a good cosmetic restoration but it is still impressive to see. If they could put a shelter over the locomotive and give it a good paint job it would look great. The people of Fort Erie had a meeting to discuss what will happen with the locomotive as well. So hopefully it has a bright future!

(3) CP 255 @ Fort Erie May 5 2014
While NS H53 was switching I heard over the scanner that a CP train was going to be allowed to cross the bridge ahead of it. I assumed it was CP 254 which earlier was working in Welland. When the H53 came to a stop I was ready with my camera. To my surprise the CP train that was talked about was CP 255 which was coming from the USA. As the the CP train goes through Fort Erie and passes the stopped NS train the crew member does a rolling inspection of CP 255. May 5 2014.

Niagara River WALL OF ICE at Fort Erie (Mar.21 2019)
Revisiting the Wall Of ice formation along the Niagara River in Fort Erie, Ontario. This ice has been here for a month now slowly melting. The majority of this ice overflowed here after a windstorm on Feb.24th. However, the same kind ice of overflow had already been seen here on a smaller scale on Feb.22, prior to the Feb.24th storm. Despite what the information board INCORRECTLY suggests, the Feb.24th windstorm was NOT the sole cause of the ice overflow, seeing as the exact same process had ALREADY occurred here at some point on or before Feb.22.
See my earlier Feb.22 / Feb.28 video of this same ice phenomenon:
Even Canada's senior cagey climatologist, David Phillips, purposefully - fraudulently - misrepresented this phenomenon, conflating and attributing it to the climate change boogeyman, when in fact, seiches and surges have been occurring on Lake Erie since the last ice age created the Great Lakes; they can occur any time of the year, including as we saw here, in winter.
It is disgusting that a celebrity such as David Phillips - a federal employee - deceptively manipulated the scientific truth about the causes of this winter seich, and chose instead to spin political theories about it.
