gargano is a peninsula in south / east of italy located in the adriatic sea. historical and geographical it is a sub-region situated in apulia. topographically the gargano is a foreland of apulia on the east coast of italy.
the bay of st. maria di Merino is a prime surf and kite spot. through the mountainous country starts in good weather regularly more thermally wind.
the best time for windsurfing / kiting is from may to october.
From october, the wind is noticeably stronger. the weather turns to winter time on.
