Geirangerfjord, Norway
Geiranger is a small tourist village in Sunnmøre region of Møre og Romsdal county in the western part of Norway. It lies in Stranda at the head of the Geirangerfjorden, which is a branch of the large Storfjorden. The nearest city is Ålesund. Geiranger is home to some of the most spectacular scenery in the world, and has been named the best travel destination in Scandinavia by Lonely Planet.
Since 2005, the Geirangerfjord area has been listed as a UNESCO World Heritage Site. The Seven Sisters waterfall is located just west of Geiranger, directly across another waterfall called The Suitor. Norwegian County Road 63 passes through the village. Geiranger Church is the main church for the village and surrounding area.
Geiranger is under constant threat from the mountain Åkerneset which could erode into the fjord. A collapse could cause a tsunami that could destroy downtown Geiranger.

Norway, Geiranger to Hellesylt by ferry - Trip to Norwegian Fjords-part 29 -Travel,calatorii,vlog
The ferry cruise on the world’s most famous fjord takes approx. one hour. Alongside the sheer mountain cliffs and the many waterfalls, you can see evidence of people who have lived and worked here in the form of many abandoned farms and shoreline smallholdings that will no doubt leave a lasting impression. The local legends are many and the history is there for you to see. Some of the farms were inhabited and operative until the 1950s and 60s.

Fjords of Norway: Bergen, Geiranger, Alesund & Flam - TUI Marella Discovery Cruise
Had the most amazing holiday with my boyfriend Arun. I didn't realise Norway was so beautiful! Felt very blessed to be there and I want to go back already and go on the 2 week cruise.
TUI cruises are amazing and I would definitely use them again for the next cruise. All drinks, food and tips are including so we literally took no spends! (not sponsored or anything by the way, just my opinion)!
Please let me know if you enjoyed it and what you would like to see more of!

Sailing into Geirangerfjord, Norway on a cruise ship
Time-lapse (40x real time) of the sail into the port of Geiranger, Norway onboard the cruise ship Marella Discovery.
Filming started in the Storfjorden fjord with a brief stop off at the small settlement of Hellesylt, Norway to allow our 200 odd guests going on an excursion to disembark, before continuing on into the Geirangerfjord, past the Seven Sisters and The Suitor waterfalls before turning and docking between mooring buoys at Geiranger.
Docking took some time as the ship has to be positioned exactly 40m ahead of the buoy astern to allow the seawalk to connect to the ship.

Most Beautiful Places in the World : Geiranger Fjord, Norway
Geiranger Fjord, Norway
In the land of hundreds of magnificent fjords, Geiranger is considered Norway’s most beautiful: A spectacular creation by glaciers, this fjord is about 15 km long and 1.5 km wide at its widest part. With almost vertical mountain sides and no habitable coast, the occasional abandoned mountain farms bear witness to the relentless efforts of humankind to conquer nature and gain a foothold. The most popular way of seeing the fjord is by ferry, but kayaking is as much fun.

Geiranger - Trollstigen, Norwegian Scenic Route
The drive along Trollstigen is undoubtedly more dramatic than most people are used to, but what is special about driving in Norway is that in fact people live just about everywhere.
