Port Prim Lighthouse, Nova Scotia, Canada
In the late Summer of 2013, I stopped by the Port Prim Lighthouse. This scenic landmark is located on the Bay of Fundy, three hours North-West of Halifax, NS. With breath-taking views and an amazing sunset, the Port Prim Lighthouse is worth the trip.

Episode 01: Georges Island - Part One
Situated in Halifax Harbour, Georges Island was established as a military garrison to defend the city of Halifax and Nova Scotia. Its fortifications have been strengthened over the years. It currently no longer functions as a military installation. It is operated by Parks Canada but remains off limits to the public. The event, Explore Georges Island, has attracted visitors to tour the island and its fortifications. This episode includes the tour of Fort Charlotte on the island.

Take a drive with me to the First light house in Canada
this video show the drive from the harbor in louisbourg to the light house. The first light[edit]
Construction began on the lighthouse in 1730 to assist navigation to Fortress Louisbourg. It was completed in 1734. A fire in 1736 destroyed the lantern but the stone tower was unharmed and a new lantern was installed in 1738.[1] Lighthouse Point played a decisive role in both sieges of Fortress Louisbourg as, once captured, it provided a commanding gun battery location to bombard the fortress. This lighthouse was badly damaged in 1758 during the Final Siege of Louisbourg and abandoned by the British after they demolished the fortress. Stonework ruins from the first tower are still visibile at the site.
The second lighthouse
A square wooden lighthouse with a black stripe was built by the government of Nova Scotia in 1842. The lighthouse was a large 2 1⁄2-story wooden building supported by a massive masonry base. It included the keeper's dwelling in the base of the light. A fog horn building was added in 1902. This lighthouse was destroyed by fire in 1922. The foundation remains visible today and has been excavated and stabilized by Parks Canada archaeologists.
The lighthouse today
An octagonal concrete lighthouse decorated with neoclassical architectural features was built in 1923. The tower is a twin of the Georges Island Lighthouse in Halifax, Nova Scotia. The Louisbourg lighthouse was destaffed in 1990. The lighthouse is a popular lookoff point and in 2008 became the start of a coastal walking trail. Interpretive plaques mark the ruins of the previous lighthouses

I made this trip in early October, 2016. Video shot with a Brinno TLC-200 Pro time-lapse camera, mounted on my roof with a homemade magnetic case. I travel with two Brinno cameras - one facing forward, the other in reverse. Sometimes the reverse camera captures better video (fewer raindrops and bugs hit the rear-view lens).

Ghosts in the dark of George's Island
Inside some really dark chamber inside the fort. Also, I promise that all the spooky music/sound was not added after-the-fact. I'm pretty sure there's some legend about a ghost roaming the island,

5 must-see Nova Scotia lighthouses that aren't Peggys Cove
Peggys Cove may be one of the most popular tourism destinations in Nova Scotia, but that doesn't mean it's the only lighthouse worth visiting.
St. Paul Island Lighthouse, Cape Breton, Nova Scotia
This small metal lighthouse once stood on St. Paul Island, a remote island located in the Cabot Strait to the north of Cape Breton. The tower replaced and earlier wood frame structure destroyed by fire going into service in 1917 and was in use until 1962 when automated systems made it obsolete. After decommissioning it was dismantled and moved to the Canadian Coast Guard base in Dartmouth. Following a decade long effort the tower was moved back to Cape Breton this time to the community of Dingwall where it now sits beside the St. Paul Island Museum.
