岐阜城 GIFU CASTLE GIFU （NEO TRAD JAP 005）

It is a “NEW TRADITIONAL JAPAN.
Gifu Prefecture Gifu castle.
Saitō Dōsan's Castle, then under the rule of Oda Nobunaga.
Having said that was a splendid Castle incorporating Western style.
It was at world-wide initiatives, such as Rakuichi-Rakuza, hospitality(OMOTENASHI) of Nobunaga's Castle a vibrant city.
Gifu great Buddha in the castle's three great Buddhas in Japan.
For the memorial service for those who died in the successive earthquakes and famine, was completed in 1832.
Buddha's face is calm and quiet temple loved by locals as a place to settle down.

南蛮様式を取り入れた華麗な城だったと言われています。
城下は信長のおもてなしの心が行き届き、楽市楽座などの施策により、
世界的に見ても活気ある都市だったそうです。
城下にある岐阜大仏は日本三大大仏。
相次いだ大地震や大飢饉で亡くなった人々の供養のため、1832年に完成しました。
そのお顔は穏やかで、静かな堂内は心落ち着く場所として地元民に愛されています。

The Cradle of Japanese Aviation: Tokorozawa Aviation Memorial Park and Museum
Being the home of what used to be Japan's first airfield, Tokorozawa can be considered the cradle of Japanese aviation. While the airfield does not exist anymore, the place is now home to Tokorozawa Aviation Memorial Park and Tokorozawa Aviation Museum. In this video, I show you what both of those are like.
Located less than an hour from central Tokyo and easily accessible by train, the Tokorozawa Aviation Memorial Park and museum are a great place to visit on a day trip.
The park has a lot of green spaces, as well as playsets, basketball courts, and other facilities, and so it's a great place to visit not only for aircraft enthusiasts but also for families and so on.
Similarly, the museum is a place worth visiting if you like aircraft, but also if you are just looking to escape the bustle of Tokyo and learn something new. Some of the aircraft you will be able to see on your visit include a NAMC YS-11, a Curtiss C-46, and a North American T-6.
Inside the museum, there are not only the actual aircraft, but also many interactive exhibits teaching the basics of flight as well as the history of aviation, and so it's a place that children will enjoy a lot too.
While most of the descriptions and other things are only in Japanese, some of them are bilingual. Regardless of that, though, you will have a great time no matter if you speak Japanese or not.

A Day of Cycling at a Japanese Keirin Track
In today’s video, we’ll be visiting the Keirin cycling track in Gifu city, Japan. Normally, these tracks are not open to the public for riding, but today there was a special event for amateur riders. My buddies and I quickly jumped on this opportunity and we couldn’t wait to get on the track.
It takes about an hour to get to Gifu city by train from Nagoya, and you have to put your bikes in bags to bring them on the train. A bit inconvenient, but at least they’re pretty light, and quick to assemble.
Keirin tracks, also called velodromes in other parts of the world, are common all over Japan, and there is a milion dollar gambling industry built around them. Therefore, the facilities are quite large and impressive.

Tulip Festival at Kiso Sansen Park Part 2
Kiso Sansen Park is one of the best flower parks in Central Japan and hosts many seasonal events throughout the year. The main feature of the park is its large flower garden which can be enjoyed from spring to fall. The park is located in Kaizu City, Gifu Prefecture and is Japan’s largest National Government Park with the whole park straddling Aichi, Gifu and Mie Prefectures. The center of the park is located in Kaizu City where the three great rivers Nagara, Kiso and Ibi all meet. You can find an exhibition at the park that describes the history, climate and nature of the area and the three great rivers. Kiso Sansen Park is beautiful any time of the year, but really comes alive every spring with the colours of the famous Tulip Festival. Visiting the park is like stepping into the beautiful tulip fields of Holland. Miniature windmills scattered amongst the flowers complete the appearance. There are around 260,000 tulips of about 125 different types in the park. The tulips are arranged in a layout that represents the three famous rivers of the area described above. The tulips look stunning in their waves of colours and do actually look like a flowing river, which is the theme of the display.
