By mid-summer we found ourselves in the beautiful Italian Tuscan Islands, where we end up relaxing and enjoying stunning anchorages shared with just a handful of local boats, but not before we go through one of very stressful moment caused by a plastic bag that got caught in the propeller while we were trying to anchor in the middle of thunderstorm at night.

Villa Del Giglio in Tuscany
Located in the Valdinevole area, Villa Del Giglio is offering all the natural characteristic of the Tuscan countryside. A short drive away from the villa you will be able to enjoy the Giusti Grottos with the hot thermal baths, the Monsummano caves, the Pistoia Hills and mountains (winter skiing), Roman style churches and the Fucecchio swamplands to name a few. Villa Del Giglio is a restored 18th century Tuscan villa with private pool and can accommodate up to 10 people.

La proprietà di circa 370 mq e 150 mq di terrazze si sviluppa su tre livelli. L'Attico con camera padronale , bagno en-suite e terrazza privata , 4 camere da letto , 3 bagni tutti con finestre e uno studio che può essere trasformato all'occorrenza in un'ulteriore camera da letto. Piano primo che comprende la zona giorno , un ampio salone con camino , grandi vetrate e una zona bar in muratura con bancone in legno stile marinaro. Sulla destra si trova un 'ampia sala da pranzo con accesso alla cucina, al bagno e alla dispensa, oltre ad una camera da letto per il personale di servizio. Tutto il piano è circondato di ampie vetrate e solo il bagno e il bar, essendo scavati nella roccia ,prendono luce dagli ambienti circostanti. La cucina ha una porta finestra sulla piscina con un ballatoio con accesso ai locali tecnici e al piano inferiore. Al Piano Terra è presente un appartamento con due camere da letto, un bagno e un ampio salone - questo piano necessita di parziali lavori di ristrutturazione. Completano la proprietà un bel giardino di circa 5.000 mq, una piscina dalla forma ovale, un garage, due posti auto privati e un pozzo di acqua potabile autonoma. Per la posizione e gli spazi questa proprietà non ha eguali sul territorio di Monte Argentario.

Wie einige schon wissen waren wir im August in Italien am Gardasee und in der Toskana (Grosseto) Von dort aus sind wir dann für einen Tagesausflug auf die Insel Giglio gefahren (Isola del Giglio) Viele kennen den Ort aus den Nachrichten als 2012 die Costa Concordia verunglückte. Eine traumhafte Insel kann euch sagen, unglaublich schönes klares Wasser perfekt zum tauchen und schnorcheln. Schöne Strände aber leider im Sommer ein wenig überlaufen. Trotzdem kann ich jedem empfehlen einmal auf die Insel zu fahren, einer der schönsten Orte die wir je besucht haben. Ich hoffe euch gefällt das Video, freu mich über jeden Like und neuen Abonnenten. Im nächsten Video bringe euch Cinque Terre ein wenig näher ;) wünsche Viel Spass !!!

Isola del mar Tirreno in provincia di Grosseto, la seconda per estensione dell'arcipelago toscano. Montuosa. Con Giannutri costituisce il comune di Isola del Giglio. Dista circa 16 km dal Monte Argentario.
Da vedere il Giglio Castello, situato sulla sommità di un colle affacciato sul mare, con cinta di mura medieovali e di torri rettangolari e cilindriche. Campese, la più ampia spiaggia dell'isola. Poggio della Pagana, 498m. s.l.m. Nelle giornate chiare si vede da qui anche la Corsica. A sud è la Punta del Capel Rosso su cui si alza il faro.

Porto Ercole & The Island of Giglio
About an hour and a half northwest of Rome along the Mediterranean Coast is the popular town, Porto Ercole. The village, built around the harbor has over the years been the summer sunning spot for Romans as well as hose in Tuscany. Many people who visit rent villas or apartments during the summer months although there are a couple of hotels as well. Shopping in the village market can yield some good values especially with textiles, table clothes and bedding.
A friend, Daisy Corsini, has one of the unique Fiats made with cane seats and a fringed fabric roof. Perfect for the warm summer months and originally owned by the legendary Hotel Il Pellicano.
At the new Argentario Golf Resort & Spa in Porto Ercole the stunning modern architecture and design is very stark against the hills of the Peninsula of Argentario. The course itself is said to be very challenging with plenty of bunkers and water hazards.
Fifteen minute drive from Porto Ercole is 5-star Relais & Chateau hotel Il Pellicano, a hotel originally opened by Patsy and Michael Graham in 1965. The hotel quickly became the in-place for celebrities and the jet set to stay. The lush landscaping and two sunning spots, one, at the salt water pool near the hotel restaurant and the other, above the rocks along the Mediterranean coast.
The casual All Alperto restaurant near the pool serves a comprehensive lunch buffet with an enticing selection of antipasta with buffalo mozzarella, salads, tuna, shrimp and pastas, pizzas, local vegetables and picked at their peak ... fresh fruits.
Forty minutes boat trip from Porto Cervo is the small, hidden island of Giglio. There are two towns one at the harbor where regular ferries arrive from the mainland. filled with multi-colored small shops selling jewelry, clothing and local food products. A drive up the hill to the walled Giglio castle affords some spectacular views both of the harbor and of the shimmering Tyrrhenian sea.
The castle was built in the 12th century made with massive pieces of granite has been a defensive castle through different regimes. Hidden within it's walls is the San Pietro Apostolo church, and numerous tiny stores , bars and restaurants. On a clear day at the castle one can see Elba. Montecistro and Corisca as well as the Italian coastline.
