The famous Harry Potter Bridge - Glenfinnan Viaduct, Scotland
Travel video of my previous trip to Scotland.
In this video will specifically focus on Glenfinnan Viaduct location. The famous scene in the Harry Potter movies. We departed from our apartment in Fort William early morning and reached Glenfinnan before noon. The weather was not so good, it was raining the whole day since we arrived there.

For your information, you can't fly a drone here in Glenfinnan as it's under private property. I've managed to contact the landlord who manages the property there and asked for his permission. With a little contribution to him (Christmas token) I can fly my drone there without worried. LOL
The rain was quite heavy to fly a drone, but since I was already there and I don't know when I can come back to this place plus I already have the permission I made my decision to flew my drone regardless heavy rain. Luckily my drone was OK and I managed to capture some awesome footages here in Glenfinnan. The only problem, I was hoping for the Hogwarts train passing by but it just didn't turn up so I didn't get the perfect shot as I wanted.

Sanna Beach to The Glenfinnan Monument - The West Scotland Adventure - Stage 09
* Tarmac Tourism // Asphalt Adventures // Road Reviews * Stage 9 would see us driving from Sanna Beach to The Glenfinnan Monument, along the B8007, A861 and A830, a distance of 56 miles.
Sanna Beach can be found in Sanna Bay on the Ardnamurchan Peninsula, a short drive from Ardnamurchan point to the south, where we finished our previous stage, and Sanna Point to the north.
On a clear day it is possible to see the Scottish islands of Rhum, Muck, Eigg and Canna from the beach with the possibility of also seeing whales and dolphins. Other wildlife in the area also includes; sea eagles, otters and pine martens.
The Glenfinnan Monument can be found on the shore of Loch Shiel and was built in 1815 on the site where Bonnie Prince Charlie first raised his forces in preparation for the Jacobite Uprising on the 19th August 1745.
The monument is a tribute not only to the Jacobite clansmen who died during the uprising, but also to Alexander Macdonald of Glenaladale, who is the man who commissioned Scottish architect James Gillespie Graham to design the monument. The statue that sits atop the monument was not added until 1835.
The monument is 18 metres tall and its construction was only made possible by the building of the nearby road, now known as the A830, in 1812 which was commissioned by a man known as Thomas Telford that stretches from Fort William to Arisaig.
Also nearby are the Glenfinnan Viaduct and the island that was used as the filming location for the Triwizard Tournament in the Harry Potter film series.
The West Scotland Adventure was a 2000 mile road trip to find the best roads and scenery in West Scotland. Subscribe so you don't miss an episode!

Harry Potter Train Glenfinnan Viaduct Highlands Scotland
Tour Scotland video of the Harry Potter steam train crossing Glenfinnan Viaduct on the West Highland railway line on ancestry to the Scottish Highlands. Glenfinnan Viaduct has been used as a location in several films and television series, including Ring of Bright Water, Charlotte Gray, Monarch of the Glen, Stone of Destiny, and three films of the Harry Potter film series.
Harry Potter's Hogwarts Express (The Jacobite Steam Train) on the Glenfinnan Viaduct (Bridge)
The Jacobite is a steam locomotive hauled tourist train service that operates over part of the West Highland Railway Line in Scotland.
The Jacobite runs a distance of 41 miles between Fort William and Mallaig, passing through an area of great scenic beauty including alongside Loch Eil, Glenfinnan Viaduct and Arisaig. Trains cross with regular service trains at Glenfinnan station.
The route is also the same shown in the Harry Potter films. The company running the Jacobite service provided Warner Brothers with the train used as the Hogwarts Express in all of the movies and allowed them use of the Jacobite's route for filming.

Steam in the Highlands - The Jacobite Steam Train (July 2017)
Take a ride on The Jacobite steam passenger service from Fort William to Mallaig in the beautiful Scottish Highlands.
The West Highland Line route was featured in the Harry Potter films as the setting for the Hogwarts Express - most notably the viaduct at Glenfinnan.
This video marks my first time outside of the United States, and special thanks goes to Dayna Jodzio for driving on the wrong side of the road to get to these beautiful locations!

Corryhully - Estate Bothy (non-MBA) - Glenfinnan Viaduct, Scotland
A quick look outside and inside the highland bothy known as Corryhully.
This is a non-MBA bothy which means that unlike the most it isn't maintained by the Mountain Bothies Association (MBA). Instead it is maintained by the estate and is a bit luxurious in the sense that it has electricity.
We had just spent the night there having walked the short path that stretches under the Glenfinnan Viaduct (made famous by the Harry Potter films) from the car park.
Our plan for the next few days was to walk to Inverie for a pint at the most remote pub in the UK (The Old Forge) whilst spending the night at each of the bothies along the way: Corryhully, A'chuil and Sourlies.

Our trip to the famous Harry Potter bridge at Glenfinnan, Scottish highlands
On Saturday we travelled to Glenfinnan to see the famous Harry Potter bridge.
Even though the weather was awful it was amazing to see. I even managed to get the drone in the air even if it was for 5 minutes.
