Saddle up and head to Napier for serious fun at the Hawke’s Bay Summer Cycling Carnival 2017, 4-8 January.
There are loads of exciting events across five packed days. Bring the kids and get involved in the Bay Espresso Family Fun Ride down Marine Parade. The iWay Fun Ride is a 40 km recreational (20km each way) ride through beautiful country with lunch and a glass of wine halfway.
At the Legends of Cycling Dinner you can hear from top cycling champions including Julian Dean and Robbie McEwen.
For the more competitive cyclists, there are full-on races including the Black Barn Vineyards Criterium and Traffic Design Group Flying Lap. And of course, watch New Zealand’s top cyclists battle for the title in the Elite & U23 Road National Championships.

East Cape Roadtrip 2016 - day 2
This is the second day of our 2016 East Cape road trip here in NZ. 400km to go from Palmerston North to Gisborne via Waipawa, Hastings and Napier and Te Reinga was another decently long day's riding. I was accompanied by Volgnit, Kiwibadger and two other riders, Aaron and Jimmy, all good fellas. We made our way from Palmy to Gisborne on this day. We did get to Te Reinga to the waterfall I mentioned although my camera ran out of juice just as we got to the best scenery. Oh well. Part 3 coming soon
