Naples Transfer | JDB | DreamIt
This is a poor recording of the driver that met me for the JDB transfer in Naples from DreamIt on Sept 21 2010. Transfer from train station to the Bellevue Syrene.
Here are the notes and observations:
• The driver was able to speak some very basic English, no sentences, but some words and verbs
• The sign was not JDB, just my name --which was OK, but not what I was expecting
• His dress was casual (open collar shirt, etc) and not suitable for a deluxe client (but that may have been because of the last minute nature of this favor).
• The vehicle, image attached was not new or deluxe, but clean and air conditioned. The ride was bumpy, but he drove carefully and safely.
• We walked to the parking lot together, he rolled my bag for me. If there had been two passengers, I supposed he would have picked us up in front of the station
Personally, I was very grateful for the transfer, after all I am a true traveler at heart as you know. Deluxe clients on the other hand would expect more from this experience if they are associating the quality of the transfer with a five star hotel on the coast. Deluxe clients would rate this transfer below average, but in my case it was perfectly fine.

Transfers and Private Shore Excursions from Naples Port Sorrento,Tours Pompeii and Amalfi coast,Positano,Ravello..
• We offer a private Shore excursion starting from your Cruise ship from Train Station or Hotel. You set the schedule as you choose from a full day or a half-day tour, as you request. Here's a little bit of the history of our coast..The Amalfi Coast is a stretch of coastline on the southern coast of the Sorrentine Peninsula in the Province of Salerno in Southern Italy. The Amalfi Coast is a popular tourist destination for the region and Italy as a whole, attracting thousands of tourists annually. During the 10th-11th centuries, the Duchy of Amalfi existed on the territory of the Amalfi Coast, centered in the town of Amalfi, until it was sacked by the Republic of Pisa in 1137. In 1997, the Amalfi Coast was listed as a UNESCO World Heritage Site as a cultural landscape. Positano was a port of the Amalfi Republic in medieval times, and prospered in the 16th and 17th centuries. But by the mid-19th century, the town had fallen on hard times. More than half the population emigrated, mostly to Australia. Positano was a relatively poor fishing village during the first half of the 20th century. It began to attract large numbers of tourists in the 1950s, especially after John Steinbeck published his essay about Positano in Harper's Bazaar in May, 1953: Positano bites deep, Steinbeck wrote. It is a dream place that isn't quite real when you are there and becomes beckoningly real after you have gone. Positano has been featured in several films, including Only You (1994), and Under the Tuscan Sun (2003), as well as being mentioned in the 2009 musical film Nine in the song Cinema Italiano.Ravello was founded in the 5th century as a shelter place against the barbarian invasions which marked the end of the Western Roman Empire. In the 9th century Ravello was an important town of the maritime republic of Amalfi, a producer of wool from its surrounding country that was dyed in the town and an important trading power in the Mediterranean between 839 and around 1200. In 1086 it was made the seat of a bishopric by will of the Norman count Roger Borsa, as a counterweight to powerful Amalfi. In the 12th century it had some 25,000 inhabitants, and retains a disproportionate number of palazzi of the mercantile nobility, the Rufolo, d'Aflitto, Confalone and Della Marra. In 1137, after a first failed attack two years before, it was destroyed by the Republic of Pisa. After this event, it started a demographic and economical decline, and much of its population moved to Naples and its surroundings. I will be pleased to stop as you wish to take photos of the magnificent views of the Bay of Naples. We have years of experience and real passion for our business. Our drivers, who are multilingual (English and German) are professionals; knowledgeable, courteous and always there to help you enjoy your visit to Sorrento, Pompeii,Herculaneum, Amalfi Coast, Naples, Rome, Florence. We organize many more tours Pompeii and Vesuvius, Caserta and Cassino cooking school and wine testing. Plan your vacation or business trip and we'll provide the resources you need.
WATCH: One of Italy's most dangerous mafia bosses arrested during raid in Naples
Subscribe to ITN News:
Italian authorities have arrested one of the country's most dangerous mafia bosses Mario Riccio in a raid in Naples and it was all caught on camera. Video released by the police showed officers arresting 23-year-old Mario Riccio in his apartment. According to local media reports Riccio's home had been protected by a video surveillance system which police disabled ahead of the raid. Riccio, nicknamed Mariano is believed to be the youngest on the list of around 300 mafia fugitives considered to be the most dangerous in Italy. Police said the baby boss is thought to be the leader of a Camorra clan controlling drug deals in the area. Riccio, on the run since 2011, has been sentenced to 16 years in prison for his mafia association and drug dealings. Report by Andrea Lilly.

Lyrics:
These are the nights
Our happy ever after
And these city lights
Will capture our laughter
And this is my life
It won’t come after
I want this forever
This moment will never die
Just like a symphony
You’re coming back to me
Tonight
Just like a symphony
You can play for me tonight
She wanna know where the hell I’ve been
I’m tryin’ to pour up and settle in
The loud that she rolled smelled like peppermint
That's when I told her I need her like medicine
I’m sippin’ codeine I can’t fall asleep
I turn on my phone look who's callin’ me
You already know it’s a money ting
Yeah shit it better be
I put these bands in the safe
I’m about to skate on a plane
Lord knows
I’ve seen things
Got me movin’ away
Trust me I’m not tryin’ to deal with the pain
I do what I gotta do
I make what I gotta make
Yeah they try to keep me down to the ground
But I'm trying to levitate
Chorus
Where you been late again
Look at the time it’s irrelevant
Sent the text saw the pics
Look at my eyes why you lying
Living in sin juice with the gin
Had my cup filled to the rim
Again and again she brought a friend
They’re wearing nothing but skin
All I know is you looking for it
All I know is you gonna get it
All I know is you looking for it
All I know is you gonna get it
Chorus
Girl I know you into me
Drive Porsches out in Italy
Chop the top off like a guillotine
Life is Gucci but it’s killing me
Stretch the work out like a limousine
I'm ‘bout to blow
Is u lit or wut
Girl you’re like a symphony
I want to know
Keep it real with you
Is you gonna keep it real with me
Yeah
I don’t see nothing wrong oh no
When she twerk and she drop it down so low
The way we pop them bottles for so long
In the studio she know the whole song
Take your chick from Switzerland to Florida
Killed the kitty now she need a coroner
Made a killin’ dealin’ with the foreigners
I'm so lit I forgot what the chorus was

ITALIAN MUSIC from NAPOLI by Antonio & Linda Calsolaro - Scetate & Catari
Music from Napoli (1800) Scetate and Catari part of the Italian history. ITALIAN MUSIC of NAPOLI with a Neapolitan Mandolin and classical guitar executed by the Mandolin Maestro Antonio Calsolaro and his sister the Guitar Maestro Linda Calsolaro during the live concert at the beautiful PALAZZO ROMASI at Alessano Lecce in the very heel of Italy. The Maestro Calsolaro offered this concert as specail TRIBUTE TO NAPOLI and plays the traditional and classical Neapolitan songs with his Mandolin for more info about the Italian mandolin and the Maestro lessons visit:
SCETATE AND CATARI are two incredible and beautiful songs of the traditional Neapolitan culture composed by RUSSO - COSTA (Scetate) and DI GIACOMO COSTA (Catari), Costa composed the music.
MUSIC OF NAPLES with MANDOLIN by Maestro Antonio Calsolaro
The music of Naples (heart of the Italian music) played by the incredible Mandolin and Guitar of the Maestro Antonio Calsolaro and Linda Calsolaro are: Luna Nova, Di Giacomo - Costa, Scétate, Russo - Costa, Catarì, Di Giacomo - Costa, Serenata Napulitana, Di Giacomo - Costa, Te Voju bene assaje, Sacco, Serenatella, Bovio - Valente, Reginella, Bovio - Lama, Funiculì Funiculà, Turco - Denza
There are various kinds of mandolins in use in Italy; they bear the names of cities or regions such as the Roman, the Lombard, the Genovese, and the Neapolitan mandolin. They may differ in size, shape, number of strings and tuning. The traditional Neapolitan mandolin is tear-shaped with a bowl back and a uniquely cut and shaped front (sounding board); it has eight strings paired into the four violin tunings of g, d', a', and e'. The strings are played with a plectrum, producing the rapid and characteristic tremolo sound as the plectrum moves rapidly over unison strings. In that configuration, the Neapolitan mandolin started to be manufactured widely in Naples in the mid-1700s.
NAPOLI MUSIC from 1500 to 2009 (Music of Italy)
Naples has played an important and vibrant role over the centuries not just in the music of Italy, but in the general history of western European musical traditions. This influence extends from the early music conservatories in the 1500s through the music of Alessandro Scarlatti during the Baroque period and the comic operas of Pergolesi, Piccinni and, eventually, Rossini and Mozart. The vitality of Neapolitan popular music from the late 1800s has made such songs as 'O Sole mio and Funiculì Funiculà a permanent part of our musical consciousness for more info visit
WORLD MUSIC by the Italian mandolin Maestro Antonio Calsolaro
There are several conflicting definitions for World Music. One is that it consists of all the music in the world, though such a broad definition renders the word virtually meaningless. The term also is taken as a classification of music that combines western popular music styles with one of many genres of non-Western music that were previously described as folk music or ethnic music. However, World Music is not exclusively traditional folk music. It may refer to the indigenous classical forms of various regions of the world, and to modern, cutting edge pop music styles as well. Succinctly, it can be described as local music from out there, or someone else's local music
