This is Day 3 video of riding from guhagar to Anjarle, Gopalgad, Dapoli Via dabhol Jetty,
Anjarle is a village in the Dapoli taluka of Ratnagiri district in the Maharashtra state of India. It is a small port located near the mouth of Jog river, about 4 miles south of Aade and 2 miles north of Suvarnadurga. The nearest railway station is Khed, 110 miles to the south-east,Anjarle is located about 24 km from Dapoli. It has an average elevation of 10 metres (36 feet). As part of the Western Ghats, the forests are evergreen, consisting mainly of tropical forest. Alphonso mangoes and coconuts are grown commercially in this area.
Gopalgad fort located about 11 kms from Guhagar bus depot is a fort in ruins overlooking the sea. Although not open to tourists at this point in time the views from the hill top with the walls of the fort next to you itself is great. The Anjanvel lighthouse and the Tolekeshwar temple is just about a kilometer from Gopalgad fort. The lighthouse is open between 3-5 pm.
The very first site started by Suvarnadurga shipping & Marine Services Pvt. Ltd. Since 21st October 2003, this ferryboat service is constantly busy and has continued its service irrespective of adverse weather conditions.
Dapoli is also famous for 'Kokan Krishi Vidyapeeth' an Agricultural University. Dapoli Homeopathic Medical College, Agril. Engineering College and some other educational institutes have made Dapoli a greatest educational hub. Stay at Dapoli will be convenient as there is a great choice amongst luxury hotels, resorts, bunglows and second homes.Dabhol, also known as Dabul (Marathi: दाभोळ), is a small seaport town in the Ratnagiri district of Maharashtra in India. प्राचिनकाळी वाशिष्ठी नदीतून दाभोळ बंदर (दाल्भेश्वर) पासून चिपळूण पर्यंत व्यापारी गलबतांची ये-जा चालत असे. ह्या व्यापारी मार्गावर नजर ठेवण्यासाठी अंजनवेल गावात वाशिष्ठी नदीच्या (खाडी) किनारी अंजनवेलचा किल्ला (गोपाळगड) बांधण्यात आला. मूळ किल्ल्यात अनेक राज्यकर्त्यांनी भर घालून किल्ला वाढवला, मजबूत केला.
मुंबई ते गुहागर हे अंतर साधारण २७० कि.मी आहे. गुहागरहून १४ कि.मी वर अंजनवेल गावात गोपाळगड उर्फ अंजनवेलचा किल्ला आहे. किल्ल्याजवळील पठारापर्यंत (सड्या पर्यंत) गाडीने जाता येते. गुहागरहून बसने आल्यास अंजनवेल गावातून किल्ल्यावर जाण्यास पाऊण तास लागतो.
बस सेवा:
गडावर जाण्यासाठी रत्नागिरी मार्गे अंजनवेलला जाता येते,अंजनवेलच्या बसथांब्यापासून साधारण अर्ध्या तासाच्या अंतरावर गोपाळगड आहे.

Tourist Attraction Locations in Dabhol Dapoli
Dabhol (Dapoli T.; 17° 35' N, 73° 10' E; p. 5,065), a minor port, lies two miles from the sea, at the foot of the hills on the north bank of Anjanvel or Vasishthi river, 85 miles south-east of Mumbai, by sea. The nearest railway station is Khed, 55 miles to the southeast by road. Dabhol is situated around 27 km from Dapoli. State Transport (ST) buses / private shared jeeps, rickshaws run between Dapoli and Dabhol. You can hire an auto r ickshaw or drive down. Rented jeeps / cars are available. One can reach Dabhol through Ferry boat service from Dhopave, village across the creek which has connectivity to Guhaghar & Chiplun. The site of Dabhol, a narrow strip of land between the river and very high steep hills. Dabhol is connected by a motorable road with Dapoli, sixteen miles north and 30km by road. Coasting steamers call daily during the fair season, and up the Vasishthi, in connection with the service to Mumbai, a small steam launch takes passengers to and from Govalkot, the landing place for Chiplun. Dabhol is broadly divided into three parts i.e. Bhandar wada, Bajarpeth & Varcha Mohalla. The Interior of Varcha Mohalla is further divided into many Mahullas ( groups of families), Such as Bamne Mahulla, Vankar Mahulla, Tamdi Mahulla, etc. The Bamne's are believed to be the Bahamani people. Over a period of time name changed from Bahamani to Bamne. It has mix population of Hindus & Muslims. People live avery simple life, with majority of them having occupations like fishing, supply of Alphonso Mangoes, Coconuts, Cashew Nuts, etc. As of now 2012, i t has good population. Nowadays due to proper job openings from Companies like Bharati Shipyard, the living standard has risen significantly.

Guhagar, is a temple town in Ratnagiri district and in all regards with many outstanding temples in and around. Temples committed to various forms of Lord Shiva like Vyadeshwar, Talkeshwar, Udaleshwar, Velneshwar, Balkeshwar and a temple of Ufrata Ganapati Guhagar truely lives upto its reputation. Chandika Mandir is another well known temple close by.The famous Vashishti River flows near Guhagar.
Guhagar beach is one of the cleanest and less polluted beaches in Maharashtra. It is located just within 200 metres from Guhagar S.T. Depot towards the western side. Guhagar beach is assumed to be very safe, with many venturing out to sea for a bath. Off late chat stalls and small food stalls have come up near the beach. Guhagar beach with its unspoiled white sand beach, offers all sanctity one looks in a secluded beach.

गोवळकोट किंवा गोविंदगड
(उ. १७° ३२’ ४८.१५” पु. ७३° २९’ १६.६४”) किल्ला वाशिष्टी नदीच्या काठावर वसलेला असून गडाची पायथ्यापासून उंची ६० मी आहे. गडावर पावसाळा सोडुन कोणत्याही ऋतूमध्ये जाने योग्य ठरेल. गोवळकोट हा किल्ला चिपळूणपासुन २ कि.मी. अंतरावर करंजेश्वरी मंदिराच्या शेजारील डोंगरावर बांधलेला आहे. करंजेश्वरी देवी हि पटवर्धन आणि राजवाडे कुटुंबियांची कुलदैवता आहे. या मंदिराशेजरून पायऱ्यांची वाट गडाच्या दरवाज्यापर्यंत जाते. गड पूर्व पश्चीम पसरलेला असून गडाचा मुख्य दरवाजा हा उत्तराभिमुख असून तो खाडीच्या दिशेला आहे. या दरवाज्याची कमान पडली असली तरीही शेजारील दोन बुरुज अाणी दगडाचे खांब तेथे दरवाजा असल्याचे पुरावे दर्शवितात. करंजेश्वरी मंदिराकडून येणारी वाट तटबंदी मधून किल्ल्यात जाते. या वाटेच्या दोन्ही बाजूला दोन मोठे बुरुज आहेत. या बुरुजांवर भल्या मोठ्या आकाराच्या तोफा आहेत. दक्षिणेकडील बुरुजावर दोन आणि उत्तरेकडील बुरुजावर दोन अशा एकूण चार तोफा आहेत. यापैकी तीन तोफा ओतीव पद्धतीने तयार केल्या आहेत तर एक तोफ बांगडी पद्धतीने तयार केलेली आहे (ओतीव पद्धतीने तयार केलेल्या लोखंडाच्या रिंग तयार करून नंतर त्या गरम करून एकमेकांना जोडल्या जातात). गडावर रेडजाई देवीचे मंदिर आहे. गडावर पूर्ण बांधकाम असलेली एकही वास्तु नसली तरीही अनेक बांधकामांची जोती दिसतात. पिण्याच्या पाण्याची सोय व्हावी म्हणुन एक मोठे बांधीव टाके आहे. सध्या या टाक्यात पाणी नसते. गडाची तटबंदी काही ठिकाणी पडलेली दिसते. गडावर पाण्याच्या टाक्याजवळ एका ओट्यावर सहा तोफा ठेवलेल्या आहेत. या तोफा गडाच्या पायथ्याला असलेल्या गोवळकोट धक्का बंदरावर गेली १५०-२०० वर्षे होत्या. इ.स. २०१६ साली श्री देवी करंजेश्वरी देवस्थान ट्रस्ट ,राजे सामाजिक प्रतिष्ठान आणी ग्लोबल चिपळूण टुरिझम यांच्या सहकार्याने या तोफा गडावर आणुन जतन केल्या गेल्या.
गोविंदगड किंवा गोवळकोट नक्की कोणी बांधला याविषयी ठोस माहिती ऐतिहासिक कागदपत्रात मिळत नाही. सुरुवातीला किल्ला छत्रपती शिवाजी महाराजांकडे होता नंतर तो सिद्दीकडे गेला. इ.स. १७३३ मध्ये हा किल्ला सिद्दीकडून किंवा हबाश्यांकडून जिंकून घेण्यासाठी मराठ्यांकडून खूप प्रयत्न झाले. शेवटी इ.स.१७३४ मध्ये चिमाजी आप्पांच्या नेतृत्वा खाली मराठा सरदार पिलाजी जाधव आणी तुळाजीआंग्रे यांचे सरदार बाकाजी महाडिक यांनी गोवळकोटा वर हल्ला केला, गोवळकोट जिंकुन घेण्यासाठी गोवळकोटच्या पश्चिमेकडील कालुस्त्याच्या टेकडी वरून मराठ्यानी तोफांचा मारा केला होता केला. त्यात तोफगोळे गडावरील टाक्याच्या थोडे अलीकडे पडत होते. ते टाक्यापर्यंत गेले असते तर शत्रूचे पाणी तोडून किल्ला जिंकता आला असता. यासाठी लांब पल्ल्याच्या तोफा बाणकोट येथून मागविल्या गेल्या होत्या. इ. स. १८६२ साली किल्ल्यावर २१ तोफा असल्याची माहिती इंग्रजांच्या कागदपत्रात मिळते.
