Medellin Colombia -Poblado Walking Tour -Gran Casino Medellin, Blockbuster, Office Depot, etc
This is Part 3 of my tour of El Pobaldo in Medellin Colombia. I start this section at the intersection where Blockbuster is and then photograph the Gran Casino Medellin across the street as well as some photos of Office Depot.
I also added various photos of flowers, rivers and plants from Parque Lineal la Presidenta. This park is located farther along the way, however, I thought it would look nice to mix in some photos of the vegetation and plant life that can be seen all over Medellin.
The locals call this area of Avenue Poblado The Golden Mile since it is the most upscale area of Medellin with all the big shopping centers, banks, stock brokers, office buildings, casinos, etc.
The photos were taken November the 1st 2009. I plan to make several other short videos in the next months showing the progress being developed in Medellin as well as other parts of Colombia.

Medellin Colombia -Poblado Walking Tour -Portofino Casino, San Fernando Casino, Citibank, etc
This is part 5 of my tour of El Pobaldo in Medellin Colombia. I start by by Portofino Casino and Burger King, then move on to a Citibank with a 24 hour AtM (note: Citibank gives the largest amount of cash per transaction so it is good to know where it is!) and then continue along Avenue Poblado until I reach Parque LLeras.
Also I mixed in many photos of the park at the end of the Golden Mile.

This is Part 2 of my tour of El Pobaldo in Medellin Colombia. I start this section at Panamericana which sells electronics, books, computers and various other things, then continue to Oviedo Shopping Center showing the Havana Casino and the McDonalds next door.

This is Part 1 of my tour of El Pobaldo in Medellin Colombia. I start by leaving Hotel la Casa Medellin, then walk down to where they are building the new Santa Fe Shopping Center (the largest shopping center in Colombia) and then continue along Avenue Poblado until I reach Parque LLeras.

I have taken well over 100 photos on this tour that I am going to share in a series of videos. In this video you will see the street called Loma de los Balsos where it meets the Avenue Poblado and some of the local businesses such as Carulla which is the largest 24 hour grocery store in Medellin, the new Locatel building and of course the Santa Fe shopping center which is still under construction.
