Hiking Grassi Lakes Canmore | Alberta | Canada
A short hike along Grassi Lakes trail. Well worth the climb up especially on a sunny day. The lakes on top are crystal clear and beautiful.
Grassi Lakes Hike in Canmore | Journey Alberta
I do the Grassi Lakes Hike in Canmore, Kananaskis, with my friend Jesse! The hike is approximately 4 kilometers round trip with only a couple hundred meters of elevation gain. After a couple hundred meters the trail splits off into an easy section or a more difficult section. We opt to do the more difficult section on the way up so we can see the waterfalls and the great views of the Bow Valley and Canmore. Although it did snow on this day it was still a great hike up to see the turquoise coloured lakes!

Canmore, Alberta MUST-SEES | Ha-Ling Peak | Grassi Lakes
My video from a recent trip to Canmore where my friend Tofunmi & I hit up 2 of the most common hikes to do in Canmore. Watch the video to see our adventures (and foodie picks) along the way, as well as some clips of the views you can expect!
Hike #1: Grassi Lakes
This is an easy- moderate hike that took us about 30-45min one way, and that included stopping to take photos and videos. This trail is well paved out and very easy to take kids or dogs on. This is also a common place for rock climbing if you're into that!!
Check out more on the Tourism Canmore website:
Hike #2: Ha-Ling Peak
This hike was more moderate to difficult, and took us about 2.5 hours to get up and about 1.5 hours on the way down. This hike was done in May and there was still a significant amount of snow/ slush/ mud but the conditions should be significantly better now (July/ August).
Check out more on the Tourism Canmore website:
Also check out some of the other places we stopped at:
The Donut Mill: in Gasoline Alley (about 20 min away from Red Deer)
Peter's Drive in: found in Red Deer & Calgary
The Wood Restaurant & Lounge: downtown Canmore
Re:Grub: found in Calgary & Edmonton (I ordered the Dude Ranch burger & Cookie Monster milkshake)

Grassi Lakes Trail + Policeman's Creek | Canmore Vlog
instagram.com/timandglo
July 21 + September 14, 2019
The town of Canmore lies just an hour west of Calgary. It's a beautiful town surrounded by stunning mountains. There are lots of fantastic hiking trails in and around Canmore. Over the summer we walked two of the most family friendly trails we've walked in the region: Policeman's Creek boardwalk and Grassi Lakes. Both are great for kids and for those looking for a non-strenuous walk/hike without compromising on the view.

Summer's Hiking @ Grassi Lakes - Canmore, Alberta
Ameryn & Amberle: We had so much fun hiking at Grassi Lakes Trail... the lakes are so beautiful and serene!
Grassi Lakes offer easy, family hiking near Canmore, Alberta, Canada to incredibly beautiful Grassi Lakes nestled beneath Ha Ling Peak and Mount Lawrence Grassi. The hike is very popular and will likely be very busy on fair weather days year round.
Grassi Lakes are two, small, shallow, pristine, aquamarine lakes accessed by the Smith-Dorrien Trail just south of Canmore, and wedged between Ha Ling Peak (Chinaman's Peak) and the east end of Mount Rundle (EEOR) which stretches between Canmore and the Town of Banff.

Grassi Lakes Winter Hike, Canmore Alberta
February 28/2018
Grassi Lakes trail is near Canmore Alberta. It is a 3.2 Kilometer loop, and has an elevation gain of 173 meters. There are two trails that make up this loop, an easy one and a hard one. A lot of people hike up the easy trail, and come back down the hard one. The hard trail is more scenic of the two.
The weather was beautiful, around 1 degree Celcius. I am glad I had ice cleats, as parts of the trail were very slippery, due to streams crossing the trail and freezing.
This is a very enjoyable short hike, in the winter or the summer.
This is my second video, and is taken with a Hero 5 Session. I welcome any comments. Please subscribe to my channel, LIVE ON if you would like to see more videos. I will try to get a new one out every week. If you enjoyed it please give it a thumbs up.
Thank you,

Hiking Grassi Lakes Trail In Canmore, Alberta, Canada
Grassi Lakes are a couple of crystal clear lakes that are connected by a small creek in Canmore, Alberta. In this video we are hiking up the more difficult/scenic of two the different trails to choose from.
When you arrive at the Grssi Lakes trail head parking lot you will notice some outhouses and just off to the left of them, the trail begins. Shortly into the walk, you will come to a fork in the road. The trail to the left is the harder trail, but comes with many amazing views. The trail to the right is essentially an inclined walk to the top, which is much easier, but lacks the views.
Regardless of which path you take, the hike to the lakes is roughly 20-30 minutes and worth every step. You will be blown away by the beauty of these two small lakes.

Vlog #1:Hiking at Grassi Lakes in Canmore | Life in Canada
This is our first ever video in our youtube channel. Please watch and subscribe! LOL! :)
A lot of our friends and families are encouraging us to start our own youtube channel and here we are -- we joined the youtube family atlast. We are still learning about the youtube industry and hopefully join us in our new venture (Parang new business lang) HAHA!
As you noticed in our first video we haven't formally introduced ourselves and it wasn't a vlogging video really but we are planning to do that in our next video (may plano na si Madam!) HAHAHA! :)
We hope you guys can support us by watching our videos and we thank you for encouraging us to do this. :) Again, thank you! :)
Onto our video....
We went hiking with our friends at Grassi Lakes Trail in Canmore, Alberta on June 9th. The hike was around 1-2 hours depending on your stamina, lol or in our case depending how long we took pictures along the trail. HAHA. The hike has an easy and difficult trails. We chose to take the difficult trail going up (as it offers good views) and the easy trail on our way back. We brought some bear sprays and bells as there was a bear warning in the area. We decided to start the hike early in the morning because the trail can be busy and very popular with families too. Most of the families especially with little kids were taking the easy trail as it is more convenient and safe. Some of us are wearing hiking shoes but running shoes are okay too. There are some streams along the trail so I suggest to wear your hiking shoes. You can bring some snacks too and have a mini picnic when you reach the lake.
All in all the hike was fun and this is one of our favorite hikes. We will never get tired of going back. :)

Go Pro Hero 5
