Maps, address, photos & my personal advise on my blog:
I decided to visit my friends from Holland who were exploring the Canadian Rockies with their RV, before chasing them down in Banff I treated myself on the most famous hot dog in Canada at Tubby Dog and tried to break the glass floor at the Calgary Tower.
Photos, guide, maps & details on my blog:
It was such a memorable experience meeting my Dutch friends on the other side of the world so we decided to do it up proper with a family BBQ and a few local brewski's, namely the Powder Hound by The Grizzly Paw which is a local brewery in Canmore, Alberta.
On our first adventure we left in the early morning to take the Banff Gondola to Sulphur Mountain, one of the most mesmerizing views of Banff. Make sure to fill up prior on a classic Canadian breakfast at Tim Hortons, the Canadian way.
The next adventure was a private helicopter ride at Rockies Heli Canada who took us from Kananaskis through the Rocky Mountains. It was a gorgeous clear day which resulted in excellent video footage. We even saw the same river where they shot the movie: The Revenant.
What also amazed us were the buck loads of wildlife passing by the RV throughout our stay at Banff's tunnel mountain campgrounds.
In next week's article I will give you all the details on our adventure at Lake Louise were I completed an 11 hour, 20 kilometer hike, thus best is to relax and relieve your sore muscles at Banff Upper Hot Springs after that trip.
In conclusion we were very fortunate that we had excellent weather with blue skies the entire trip. I highly recommend visiting Calgary, Banff & Lake Louise in the first week of June for the best experience.

Are you considering a move to a new Canadian city to make a better life?
If you are still considering where to move, you’d want to know that Alberta is the top moving destination in 2017.
Alberta is a province in Western Canada. Its landscape encompasses mountains, prairies, desert badlands and vast coniferous forests.
It is Canada's fourth most populous province and the most populous of Canada's three prairie provinces.
It has more than 600 lakes, and rich mineral deposits. In the west, the Canadian Rocky Mountain Parks have glaciers in the Columbia Icefields.
The Waterton Glacier International Peace Park is a biosphere reserve that straddles the southern border with the USA.
You can find several smaller towns and cities that are perfect for raising a family, finding a good job, or simply enjoying a quiet retirement.
Over the last five years the province of Alberta has seen it’s population skyrocket due to people coming to the province to find work.
The oil sands in Fort McMurray have been a popular landing spot for those making the move to the province,
but it isn’t the greatest place for you to be situated if you’re going to be in Alberta with your family. Fort Mac is one of the more pricier cities in Alberta.
Despite lower oil prices, Alberta’s economy has remained steady. That’s not to say things are perfect; unemployment has gone up slightly in 2016.
But all things considered, there are still many great reasons to move to Alberta.
With its scenic beauty, no provincial tax, and higher average wages anywhere in the country, Alberta offers a high quality of life that’s hard to find elsewhere.
We’ve taken a look at some statistics and compiled a list of the Best Cities to Live in Alberta.
Here are the 10 best places to live in Alberta, Canada for 2018:
1. St. Albert.
2. Edmonton.
3. Calgary.
4. Strathcona County.
5. Canmore.
6. Medicine Hat.
7. Jasper.
8. Camrose.
9. Lethbridge.
10. Banff.
Thanks for watching this video. I hope it's useful for you.

Canmore, Alberta MUST-SEES | Ha-Ling Peak | Grassi Lakes
My video from a recent trip to Canmore where my friend Tofunmi & I hit up 2 of the most common hikes to do in Canmore. Watch the video to see our adventures (and foodie picks) along the way, as well as some clips of the views you can expect!
Hike #1: Grassi Lakes
This is an easy- moderate hike that took us about 30-45min one way, and that included stopping to take photos and videos. This trail is well paved out and very easy to take kids or dogs on. This is also a common place for rock climbing if you're into that!!
Check out more on the Tourism Canmore website:
Hike #2: Ha-Ling Peak
This hike was more moderate to difficult, and took us about 2.5 hours to get up and about 1.5 hours on the way down. This hike was done in May and there was still a significant amount of snow/ slush/ mud but the conditions should be significantly better now (July/ August).
Check out more on the Tourism Canmore website:
Also check out some of the other places we stopped at:
The Donut Mill: in Gasoline Alley (about 20 min away from Red Deer)
Peter's Drive in: found in Red Deer & Calgary
The Wood Restaurant & Lounge: downtown Canmore
Re:Grub: found in Calgary & Edmonton (I ordered the Dude Ranch burger & Cookie Monster milkshake)
Black Mountain Lodge: 170 Kananaskis Way, Canmore, AB T1W 0A8
