Kananaskis Peter Lougheed Provincial Park Camping (4K) | Journey Alberta
Today I go camping for a night in the Peter Lougheed Provincial Park section of Kananaskis Country! I camp with my Mom and her boyfriend Ken at the Boulton Creek Campground at site D-120/D-121. On our first day it rained a lot so we spent some time at the visitor center in the park, exploring the building. When the rain stopped, we headed to the North Interlakes Day Use area to do a short hike by the shore of the Upper Kananaskis Lake. Our second day takes us to the Elbow Sheep Wildland where we do the hike to the Rae Glacier! It takes us past the backcountry campground at Elbow Lake, and then up towards the glacier for an amazing hike.

Buffalo Lake Campground | Alberta Camping Review
Also known to the locals as Boss Hill, Buffalo Lake Provincial Recreation Area is one of three campgrounds on central Alberta's Buffalo Lake. Located on highway 56 north of Stettler, Alberta, Canada, about 2 1/2 hours northeast of Calgary.
Take a walk down the shoreline or along the small beach, watch for owls, song birds and deer in the surrounding forest, or take a boat out on to the lake for some great fishing. Waterskiing and wind surfing are also popular activities on the water.
This campground has 28 sites with camping fees of $22/night. There is no services available and no potable water available at the campground itself.

Abraham Lake Random Camping 4K | Journey Alberta
I camp at Abraham Lake for a night. At the lake you can currently random camp there for free, and it features some of the best views in the province of Alberta. In the winter you can even see methane bubbles frozen in Abraham Lake! This video is a re-upload of my 2017 trip.

Alberta, Canada: Peter Lougheed Provincial Park
Road Trip, Hiking, and Family Camping
The lake that wasn't - Peter Lougheed Provincial Park
In June 2013 heavy rain filled the meadow behind the Peter Lougheed Provincial Park Visitor Information Centre, forcing it to be closed due to structural damage. Over the course of four and a half months, the meadow slowly drained, and was re-opened in November 2013.
The whole process was captured on our VIC webcam, and we put it together as a symbol of nature's power of rejuvenation and recovery.
