Athens Open-Top Bus Tour - FULL VIDEO (Sights of Athens, Greece)
Just like Rome, there is too much to see and plenty to do in Athens! We were only here for a few days, so an open-top bus tour really helped get a good grasp of the city pretty fast! From the bus, you can go on to visit the Acropolis, the Ancient Agora and many more popular spots in Athens! There are three open-top bus companies which all go to the same places. Sights of Athens (The blue bus) was the cheapest and also run later than another one! We didn't have any problems or issues. Great time! Tickets can be purchased on the bus, cards were accepted, no problem!

The #EnAwaterlust was a trip that began about a year ago when my girlfriend Emmy and I began thinking of the ultimate trip. This trip was to be over a month long and visiting places that we've never been while also seeing friends and family along the way.
After Santorini, we jumped on the fairy and made our way to the main land, Athens. With everything going on in the world and the recent history of Athens, some thought we were crazy for going.
Athens is city of history, one with great and friendly people, and one we will never forget.

New video from the fierce riot that exploded in Athens on December 6, 2015, commemorating the 7th year since 15 years old Alexis Grigoropoulos murder in cold blood by a policeman in the Exarchia area of Athens, on December 6, 2008.
Back in 2008 the police murder sparked a string of riots that spread like wildfire all over Greece and inspired countless of solidarity actions and riots all over the globe for more than a month.
The events were recorded in modern history as The December Revolt or The December Rebellion.
[9 July 2016] No Future Riot in Athens, Greece (Exarcheia)
On Saturday 9 July 2016 during a gig at the Polytechnic School of Athens in the Exarcheia neighborhood of Athens, a group of anarchists attacked the riot police brigades that had the area surrounded. Whilst the financial crisis deepens in Greece with harsh austerity measures being continuously imposed for the last 7 years and 24,1% unemployment (50,4% amongst young people) outbursts of rage and angst are not uncommon especially in Exarchia neighborhood, known for its long subversive political history.

Greece riots: 100,000 fight against harsh cuts in Athens protests

At least three people have been killed during protest in Greece, as rioters set fire to a bank building. Thousands are on the streets of Athens in opposition to harsh spending cuts which are part of a new austerity package aimed at saving Greece from bankruptcy. Workers marched to the parliament and clashed with police, with many blaming the government for cutting wages and pensions. The draft bill of the new austerity package will be voted on by the end of the week.
Holiday in Athens, Greece
Me and my girlfriend went to Greece in our holiday in April/May 2017. We spent first 3 days visiting Corinth, Sparta and Olympia and their surroundings (drove about 1100 miles altogether). Then 3.5 days in Athens and last 4 days in Santorini. This is the second of 3 parts of our trip.
All songs are from movie filmed in Greece called Summer Lovers (1982) , which we watched before our vacation.

Ένας από τους πιο σημαντικούς και σημαντικούς ήταν ο Παρθενώνας. Αυτή η δομή ήταν αφιερωμένη στη θεά Αθηνά, την οποία ο λαός της Αθήνας θεωρούσε προστάτη.
