To help liven things up during a celebration to mark the 90th birthday of his wife, Jessie, Samuel H. Boyd ( did the light fantastic across the floor at the Green Meadow Golf Club ( in Cwmbran, Wales, during a celebration to mark the 90th birthday of his wife, Jessie. Not satisfied with his sprightly dance routine Sam also sang a song ( I had never heard before: Good man yourself, Sam!

Samuel H. Boyd was born in Belfast ion the 26th of April, 1919. He and his wife, Jessie together with a few friends, celebrated tin the Golf Club, Cwmbrân, a 1960s 'new town' a few miles to the north of Newport in Gwent, South East Wales. 'Sam', as he is usually known, met Jessie while they were both doing a further educvation course at the University College of Wales, Bangor on the 12th of July, 1942, a highly significant date in Irish and in European history. Twmbarlwm was built in the Iron age as a lookout point by the Silures - the Celtic tribe that inhabited this area, and part of England before the Romans came.
