GUYANA Vacation 2015 - Visit To Georgetown Guyana Botanical Gardens
Visiting the Georgetown Guyana Botanical Gardens a.k.a. Big Gardens located in Guyana South America during our 2015 Guyana vacation. The Botanical Gardens was very interesting and is a great relaxation zone with lots of flora, flona and, home to the Guyana zoo.
Guyana gained its independence from Britain in 1966 and, is the only English speaking country in South America however, Guyana is also considered a part of the Caribbean.

Burnham was born in Kitty and attended Queen's College.He studied law

This 3-minute video shows a rather small part of Guyana's Botanical Gardens. There are other attractions such as the Zoo. Manatees (sea cows) can be found in some ponds, they are very friendly and will sometimes come to feed from you if you swish fresh grass about in the pond.

Manatees in Royal Botanical Gardens in Georgetown, Guyana
Taken Feb 18, 2010, this is a very brief video of an adult and baby manatee in the botanical Gardens of Georgetown, a place not well maintained. There's litter in the water and no one really around to protect the animals from abuse. This is also during a drought, so water levels are low.
