While at the culture village i was treated to a Traditional Korean Wedding ceremony.

This travel video is of a Korean Traditional Marriage reenactment performance that took place at the Korean Folk Village (한국 민속촌) located in Yongin, South Korea. The Korean Traditional Wedding Ceremony called Pae Baek (폐백). We've all seen it somewhere, either through a Korean drama or a family or friends wedding. Traditionally, the Pae Baek is a ceremonial practice where the groom's family accepts the new bride into their home as part of the family.

During the ceremony both the bride and groom wear Hanbok's (한복). These traditional outfits date back to the Joseon Dynasty where women and men of the Royal Family wore these decorative, bright colored outfits for formal functions or ceremonies. The 20th century has modernized the Hanbok's for practical reasons. Korean Folk Village is a popular tourist destination for both Koreans and foreigners. It is located near Everland, South Korea's largest amusement park.
The purpose of Korean Folk Village is to display elements of traditional Korean life and culture. There are multiple sections to the park. There are numerous replicas of traditional houses of the different social classes (peasant, landowner, yangban) from various regions.
The park also has a traditional street market, restaurants, and showcases of traditional wordworking and metalworking techniques. There are performances of traditional dances, equestrian skills, marriage ceremonies, and recreational activities.
An amusement park section has rides and games, an art museum, a sculpture garden, a Korean Folk Museum, and a World Folk Museum which highlights traditional lifestyles from around the world.

AAAAANYWAY!
so on this day, march 31st, we went to the gwangmyeong cave in the morning! it was a p #wild experience! two of the workers there thought i was korean and i had to say (in super broken hangul LOL) that i was from the philippines! they replied saying they liked my hair & it made me look pretty (i only understood that part bc of pretty u... thx seventeen lol :--(( )
then we went rail biking! no one in our tour group knew what it was LOL and they all panicked because they thought it was ///ACTUAL biking???? (for a sec i panicked too bc idk how to ride a bike) BUUUT then i remembered in the show it's dangerous beyond the blankets, daniel and co. (LOL I SUCK I FORGOT EVERYONE ELSE'S NAMES) went rail biking and i was like AH ok we good.
after that we rushed to everland! personally, i'm not a big fan of rides LOL...... there were SOOOO many people????? i felt like i was going to a concert huhuhu i feel like i would've enjoyed more if we went earlier when there were not as many people :( but nonetheless, i enjoyed people watching HAHAHAHA plus the pretty flowers were p cool too (and i don't really like flowers....)
we got to back to the area where we were staying at relatively early so we still had time to go and explore myeongdong for about an hour and a half! the stores were suuuuper overwhelming???? because there were so many!!!!!
ANYWAY that's a summary of this day wahu!

에버랜드는 영원과 활력을 의미하는 ''에버(EVER)''와 자연·포근함을 상징하는 ''랜드(LAND)''를 결합한 에버랜드는 인간과 자연과의 조화, 인간의 꿈과 사랑·희망을 표현하고 있다. 한택식물원은 경기도 용인시 백암면 옥산리 야산에 있는 사립 식물원이다. 1979년부터 백암면 옥산리 일대 부지를 조성하고 시설을 갖추어 1984년 정식으로 개원하였다. 한국민속촌은 1970년대 산업화와 도시화 속에 사라져 가는 우리 민족의 문화유산을 보존·전승하여 어린이 및 청소년들의 현장학습장으로 활용하며, 나아가 외국 관광객을 유치하기 위해 조성된 국제 관광지이다.

Police release note left by deceased spy agency employee
국정원 직원 유서 내용 공개＋여야 반응
Police have released a note left by a National Intelligence Service employee who died over the weekend in an apparent suicide.
The note could shed new light on allegations the spy agency wiretapped citizens using a smartphone hacking tool.
Our Ji Myung－kil starts us off.
The spy agency employee， surnamed Lim， was found dead in a car on Saturday on a road in Yongin， Gyeonggi－do province.
In the car， authorities also found a three－page handwritten note that could help resolve questions about where and how the NIS used the hacking program.
Last week， the NIS chief said the agency bought the program from an Italian company in 2012， but said the purchase was made to monitor North Korean spies.
Lim， who authorities say purchased and ran the hacking program， wrote in the note that the NIS never used it to monitor civilians or other citizens in relation to elections.
He also admitted to deleting information about the program from the NIS system.
The note said， in part：... ″I decided to delete information that created misunderstandings about our counter－terrorism and covert operations on North Korea. ...but there is nothing to worry about regarding my actions.″
Authorities now say the information can be recovered.
Korea′s rival parties had mixed reactions to the note.
The ruling Saenuri Party said once the deleted information is restored，... the truth will be revealed and urged the country′s political parties not to over－react.
The main opposition New Politics Alliance for Democracy party urged a thorough investigation into the case， saying that Lim must have felt burdened by his knowledge of the program， leading him to commit suicide.
The NIS plans to give lawmakers the usage records of the controversial hacking program next week to ease concerns that covert operations were carried out on ordinary citizens.
