Japan - Shibuya Station, Tokyo. (Hachikō Statue)
Come meet Tokyo's most famous pooch, Hachikō. This Akita dog came to Shibuya Station everyday to meet his master, a professor, returning from work. The professor died in 1925, but Hachikō kept coming to the station until his own death 10 years later.
Unveiling of statue depicting Hachi and his owner
Commemorating the 80th anniversary of the death of Hachi — the dog that waited for his master at Shibuya Station long after his owner passed away — and the 90th of the owner’s passing, University of Tokyo unveils a statue of their reunion.

Visit to Hachiko - A Faithful Dog |Shibuya Station, Japan|
A Visit to Hachiko Station (Shibuya) in Tokyo, Japan to meet Hachi.
Dog known for his loyalty, Undying Love and Faith.
Hachiko is a national hero to the Japanese! A dog so famous there have been several movies made about him. He has his own statue next to Shibuya Train Station in Tokyo, where every day hundreds of people have their photograph taken with him.
As Hachiko grew older, he started to see his owner off to work in the morning at the Shibuya Train Station, in central Tokyo and went to pick him up at the station in the afternoon when he returned from work.
only two years after Hachiko was born, Hachiko was as usually sitting by the exit at Shibuya train station waiting for his dear Eizaburo. But his owner never showed up…..
He waited for his owner for Nine Years.

Shibuya's Hachiko Scramble in 24 Hours ★ ONLY in JAPAN
Shibuya is Tokyo's glitziest area and Hachiko Scramble / intersection is the world's busiest crossing. No wonder it amazes visitors who come to Tokyo! It's often featured in movies that take place in Tokyo, such as Lost in Translation, The Fast and the Furious: Tokyo Drift, and Resident Evil: Afterlife and Retribution, as well as news broadcasts around the world.
Most people spend only a few minutes here, but in this episode, we're going to take you through a 24 hour cycle. We'll go a little deeper into what goes on here.
There are some time lapse scenes mixed in so you can see it in motion from day to night.
This show has been created and produced by John Daub. He's been living and working in Japan for over 15 years and regularly reports on a TV Show for Japan's International Channel.

JR Shibuya Station Hachiko exit
Here we are at the Shibuya Hachiko exit, the famous place you've seen in several anime like Lain and movies like Lost In Translation. Hachiko is the dog that was immortalized in the statue form, who would wait in front of Shibuya station for his master to come home by train. Check out the stupid evil right-wing fascist Uyoku on top of the white truck. These guys often spout out crap on how Japan needs to reclaim the lost territories by re-invading Korea, Manchuria, Viet Nam, etc. They usually drive aorund in big black trucks, but maybe they think that small white trucks look less evil. They still suck, though.

Have a nice trip.
