Day 63: Visiting Hainan's Dongzhai Mangroves, Haikou Volcano Park, and Eating Sand Worm Soup
This was one of the most packed days I've ever had while living in Haikou, but I was able to see so many things. And I ate some sandworm soup, so yeah - that happened.

Why do Chinese always think everything is so small when they come to Australia?
Join me for a walk around the huge Mangrove Tree Resort in Sanya, Hainan Island, complete with a Water Park, Convention Centre (Holding the World Car Show at the time I was there), Movie Themed Hotels, Man made Volcano and 60 restaurants!

Driving From Haikou To Sanya along Hainan Eastern Line.Self-driving!Road Trip! Driving Trip In China
This Hainan Eastern Line trip was via Haikou, Wenchang, Qionghai Boao, Wanning, Lingshui and Sanya on Sept 6th to 7th, 2018. We drove off the highways and other types of roads.
1. We drove from Haikou to Qionghai Boao via Wenchang on Sept 6, 2018. We visited Wenchang Dongjiao Coconut Grove Scenic Area, Wenchang Satellite Launch Center, Wenchang Tongguling Scenic Area and Wenchang Bamen Bay Mangrove Scenic Area along the way. We stayed at Qionghai Boao Golden Coast Hot Spring Hotel at night.
2. We drove from Qionghai Boao to Sanya via Wanning and Lingshui on Sept 7, 2018. We visited Qionghai Boao Forum for Asia Permanent Site Scenic Area, Wanning Outlets and Lingshui Qingshuiwan Coral Palace along the way. We stayed at Yuelanwan, No. 680, Yuya Road, Sanya at night.
After that, we continued to drive from Sanya to Tunchang along the Hainan Eastern Line and S302 road on September 8, 2018. Please watch this video below:

I had a short stay in Haikou, and it was different from what I originally imagined (a tourist town). Rather, the city is more suited for everyday living, than for visiting.
There wasn't much attractions for tourists, but lots of street level food to please the locals.
