HAMBURG, EXPLORING the famous RED LIGHT DISTRICT, Germany
SUBSCRIBE: - Let's go for a walk around Hamburg's world famous red light district on a warm Saturday autumn night.
Hamburg, a major port city in northern Germany, is connected to the North Sea by the Elbe River. It's crossed by hundreds of canals, and also contains large areas of parkland. Near its core, Inner Alster lake is dotted with boats and surrounded by cafes. The city's central Jungfernstieg boulevard connects the Neustadt (new town) with the Altstadt (old town), home to landmarks like 18th-century St. Michael’s Church.
Germany is a Western European country with a landscape of forests, rivers, mountain ranges and North Sea beaches. It has over 2 millennia of history. Berlin, its capital, is home to art and nightlife scenes, the Brandenburg Gate and many sites relating to WWII. Munich is known for its Oktoberfest and beer halls, including the 16th-century Hofbräuhaus. Frankfurt, with its skyscrapers, houses the European Central Bank.

Driving a City bike, in Hamburg Town
Arctic to Asia Cycle Tour Part 5: Germany - Hamburg to Berlin
After Miriam went home, the adjustment to cycling alone almost broke me. At times, the loneliness was overwhelming and I'd struggle to see how I'd last a month, let alone a year, on the road by myself.
It wasn't the isolation in the moment that bothered me, but the creeping sensation that this is what life would be like for the next year. By the end of the first day, I was already thinking of how I'd have to explain to my friends and family that I hadn't been able to handle it and had to quit and come home.
.
So have a watch of me getting to grips with solo cycle touring as I traversed the banks of the river Elbe from Hamburg to Berlin.

City Cycling through Hamburg! | European Bike Tour Day 10
This day started in my hostel in Hamburg where I loaded up my bicycle and rode to the city center. I rode a little bit over the center square and then made my way towards the Speicherstadt. Really scenic place but the road was a little bumpy. After having some lunch I made my way to the Planten un Blomen park but decided not to go in because it seemed like I couldn’t ride my bicycle in there. So then I headed northeast towards the city of Lübeck. Cycling out of Hamburg wasn’t as easy as cycling out of Bremen. City cycling is pretty hard. Along the way I tried to find a campsite. After finding one I set up camp and ate some rice with kidney beans. During the night I show you how much I spent over the last ten days and the daily average.
Thanks so much for watching!

Spotalarm! BMX Street Jam in Hamburg
The second annual BMX Street Jam in Hamburg was a lot of fun! Check out the highlights from a sunny afternoon in one of the best cities for street-riding in Germany.
