We spent a week in a beautiful Kuala Lumpur. Living is quite cheap there so we could splurge a little (had sushi for dinner everyday) ????
The monorail is must when in KL - what a great infrastructure. We also used rideshare services a lot, though oftentimes drivers were lost and didn't arrive on time, it was ok with us as we had plenty of time to explore the city.
We've visited Petronas Twin Towers (though we didn't go to observation deck), Thean Hou Temple. We've been at Menara Kuala Lumpur tower during a little storm with lightning and thunder but it was worth it as my Hubby made wonderful time lapses up there ????
At the time we've visited Batu Caves there were constructions in progress and as you notice in the video one of the workers was asking visitors to help out carrying some buckets up 272 steps. We felt really good and proud inside carrying those buckets ????
In KL we found some interesting fruits we've never tasted before, for instance, yellow watermelon, honey jackfruit, golden mango (tastiest mango ever), dragonfruit, salak madu (snake fruit), ciku... We also tried red bean ice cream (not really our cup of tea) by the way Krispy Kreme doughnuts were extremely cheap.
We've stayed at Regalia Residence with an amazing infinity pool on the 37th floor and kept going to the pool every day not only for a swim but also for the views.
Probably the best experience we had in KL was rescuing tiny owl lost in the middle of the road. We had to stop traffic scooped the little one and then started thinking what to do with her.
Luckily owl wasn't injured and the moment my hubby released her she spread her small wings and flew away into the trees, Woohoo, Success !!!
