Michigan State Parks 100: Southeast Michigan's State Parks - Part 1
The state parks in Southeast Michigan are in close proximity to each other. While each has its own character, they offer similar experiences, which is helpful because if one park is busy, you can try another one not too far away. We took a day trip and checked out five state parks. If you're interested in a specific location, here are the time codes:
Bald Mountain State Recreation Area -- 1:15
Ortonville Recreation Area -- 5:13
Metamora-Hadley State Recreation Area -- 8:54
Holly Recreation Area -- 11:55
Seven Lakes State Park: 18:52

The Lake State- Michigan
The great state of Michigan never seems to stop bringing wonders to nature. The Great Lakes and wonderful fall life change as the seasons go by, each season showing its own amazement in itself, becoming more incredible than the one before it. Enjoy!

Patt Bacon
Visual Arts Center - 941-639-8810 - visualartcenter.org
Patt's exploration of art began while growing up in Michigan with a love of crayons. Covering her mom's kitchen cupboards with still life compositions of any fruit or vegetable available became her passion. Over the past twenty-four years Patt has been teaching art in public schools and art guilds throughout northern Michigan. She began teaching at the Visual Arts Center in 2006. Galleries in Mackinac and Alpena Michigan have featured her paintings. She was also honored by a one woman show in Harrisville, Michigan and a four person show in the Goff Gallery. Patt has been thrilled to receive awards in exhibitions from Michigan to Florida and has paintings in private collections across the United States.

Lake Huron flyover
Today I got to fly along the shores of Lake Huron / Saginaw Bay at a bucolic place named Bay CIty State Park. It had been several days since my last flight (in Wall, South Dakota) and the weather had finally let up a little but was still a bit windy. At first, the Parrot Bebop 2 ran into the issue after falling down in the vehicle on the way over but after a quick calibration, we were up in the air!
