Castle Rock Lakefront Mackinac Trail Campground (took some effort to make a really long name!) in St Ignace Michigan offers small and large full, partial, and primitive (no water, electric, or sewer) hookup RV and tent camping in a wooded setting adjacent to Lake Huron. Conveniently located just off exit 348 from Interstate 75 the park is set midway between classic old town St Ignace and the Indian casino north of town. Guests access the park via a paved road that eventually transitions to paced dirt.
All the sites are packed dirt with some grass and plenty of trees. There are a few large sites but we caution owners of RVs over 40′ as the park does have tight roads and plenty of trees. Smaller RVs and tent campers can pick from a number of pretty campsites with views of the water.
Restrooms and showers with running water are available. The park is located just across the interstate from the trail-head for Castle Rock look out. Some seasonal sites are available.

Bruce B.'s Review on The Dyrt:
▶︎ One of the best
These campgrounds are run by the Upper Peninsula Power Company and have just about everything. The sites are mostly private and spread out with the exception of the loop which is more family oriented. The damn here has enhanced the natural waterfall here and is one of he main attractions. The lakes are stocked with brook trout and the fishing is amazing. Picnic areas are located near the falls and hiking in the surrounding areas is limitless. It's very inexpensive and also very popular.

Great view of Marquette's 2013 Fourth of July Fireworks Finale
A view of Marquette's 2013 Fourth of July fireworks over Lake Superior, taken from Mattson Lower Harbor Park near the Marquette Yacht Club building. The fireworks were launched from the water near the end of the Lower Harbor Ore Dock. The American Flag can be seen waving from one of the docked sailboats in the light breeze on this perfectly clear night.
Marquette, a major shipping port on Lake Superior, is the most populated city of Michigan's Upper Peninsula, and is the home of Northern Michigan University. In 2012, Marquette was listed among the 10 best places to retire in the U.S. by CBS Money Watch.
