1. Michigan's Adventure Muskegon
Michigan's Adventure is a 250-acre amusement park in Muskegon County, Michigan, about halfway between Muskegon and Whitehall. It is the largest amusement park in the state and has been owned and operated by Cedar Fair since 2001. As of 2012, Michigan's Adventure has 53 rides, more than any other park in the state. The park also includes an outdoor water park, WildWater Adventure. The park is headlined by seven roller coasters, including Shivering Timbers, a basic wooden coaster, and a suspended looping coaster, Thunderhawk. The typical operating season is from May through September.

Hoffmaster State Park is a public recreation area on the shores of Lake Michigan located five miles north of Grand Haven at the southwest corner of Norton Shores, in Muskegon County, and the northwest corner of Spring Lake Township, in Ottawa County, in the U.S. state of Michigan. It is operated by the Michigan Department of Natural Resources. The state park includes 1,200 acres of land including 3 miles of sand beach on the lake. The park is named after P.J. Hoffmaster, sometimes considered the founder of the Michigan state parks system, who served as the Superintendent of State Parks and Director of the Department of Conservation. The park's nature center is named for Emma Genevieve Gillette, who scouted locations for new state parks under Hoffmaster.

Michigan Has Real Beaches

I go home to Michigan every year to celebrate the 4th of July with family and friends on Lake Huron. When I told one of my California friends that I stay on the beach, they looked at me seriously and said “You know that’s not a real beach, right?”

They clearly don't understand. Michigan has real beaches. I hope this video convinces you. Northern Michigan summers are the best. My family has a place in Oscoda Michigan.

Michigan has a tourism slogan called Pure Michigan. It's used everywhere in their print and tv ads and I think it accurately describes the best parts of Michigan. The beaches, vacations up north, and the beauty of it all definitely yell Pure Michigan.

Let's Visit Silver Lake State Park (Michigan)

Located along Lake Michigan between Ludington and Muskegon, MI, Silver Lake State Park, located near Mears, MI, consists of very large sand dunes divided off into three sections: a pedestrian zone, an off-road vehicle zone, and a zone privately owned by Mac's Dune Rides. I start off over at the beach at the day use area (near the campground) of Silver Lake State Park where you can gaze at the dunes. Later in the video, I go on one of the dune rides offered by Mac's Dune Rides. To conclude the video, I head to the top of the Little Sable Point Lighthouse to get a great view of Lake Michigan and the entire area.
