Hokkaido is famous for its seafood.
A Yomiuri Shimbun reporter recently visited Kushiro, which once boasted one of the largest fish catches in the nation.
Our writer found plenty of good things to eat there. In addition to fish, there are also some unusual green soba noodles that get their color from the use of algae as an ingredient.
