Hastings is a town and borough in East Sussex on the south coast of England, 24 mi east of the county town of Lewes and 53 mi south east of London. It has an estimated population of 90,254.Hastings gives its name to the Battle of Hastings, which took place 8 mi to the north at Senlac Hill in 1066. The town later became one of the medieval Cinque Ports, and a popular seaside resort in the 19th century with the coming of the railway. Today, Hastings is a fishing port with a beach-based fishing fleet.

Northern NSW is only a short drive down the motorway from where I live and so it would be silly not to explore these beautiful waters ways. Although it could take a bit to get to know how and when to fish the estuary it's all experience.
I will have to come back someday soon and catch the ones that got away. Enjoy!

We went to Hastings Point to spot whales after accidentally doing it a month earlier. We weren't disappointed, with 7-8 whales spotted, including this white humpback. As it turns out, it appears to be the Son of Migaloo. What a privilege to see such a majestic and amazing animal making the trip north along with the many others. Go ahead 41 seconds to see zoomed in video.

Spearfishing Australia | Fingal (2019)

Went on another spearfishing adventure here in Australia last weekend and once again had a blast even though Pat had his speargun confiscated by the fisheries because we were in an illegal area. Make sure you check the regulations before you head out folks! Lesson Learned. Fingal Head is still a beautiful place to do some spearfishing and we will be back but this time in a legal area!
