Stuff+, group show, The Hellenic American Union, Athens
The Hellenic American Union and Hellenic American College (HAEC) in cooperation with Hellenic American University (Manchester, NH, USA) present a visual arts exhibition curated by Louisa Karapidaki.
Capturing the wear and tear of substance and materials, the visual artists attempt to aesthetically redefine minor traces of everyday wear and transform the images of accumulated erosion into art. Snapshots of everyday are transformed into non-identifiable figurative references by means of completely different visual media. The artworks acquire a new aesthetic identity and engage in discourse with the works of other artists, who either use various pure materials to shape their images through the systematic transformations of these selected materials or use those materials as expressive means in themselves, bestowing an overemphasized materiality upon their works.
The exhibition features works by Eozen Agopian, George Giotsas, Michalis Katzourakis, Harris Kondosphyris, Aphrodite Liti, Eleni Tzatzalos, Panos Famelis, Joseph Beuys, François L'Hotel, Pavlos (Dionyssopoulos) and Paweł Warchoł.

The Hellenic American Union and Hellenic American College (HAEC) in cooperation with Hellenic American University (Manchester, NH, USA) present a visual arts exhibition curated by Hara Piperidou.
In regards to the art, the semantic, political and aesthetic load that the prefix co bears, is located predominantly within the project itself. Structured in a dialectical moment, it is the element that manages to give birth to new contours and meanings. The birth of coexistence implies that artistic creation does not simply produce an object: it created identities, relationships and reflections, strings that derive from a chore to connect the objects that surround it with new forms of attraction or repulsion, reconciliation or violence.
Participating artists: Ameladiotis Dimitris, Charalambidis Nikos, Dimitropoulou Martha, Douka Anastasia, Kanarelis Nikos, Kafouros Elias, Papailiakis Ilias, Piperidou Hara, Sachini Nana, Tserionis Giorgos, Tsitsopoulos Filippos, Velonis Kostis

Contemplation, solo show by Konstantinos Papageorgiou, Hellenic American Union Gallery
Painting exhibition by Konstantinos Papageorgiou in cooperation with Hellenic American College.
The human forms in the work of Konstantinos Papageorgiou are consciously devoted to an inner dialectic with the subconscious itself. Time and again they reject any superfluity, invalidate any verbosity, although they are inextricably intertwined with the incessant flow of day-to-day life. The forms emphatically highlight values and beliefs through their silent presence—a deafening muteness.
Konstantinos Papageorgiou was born in Chania, Crete, in 1969.
He graduated from the Athens School of Fine Arts in 1994 (P. Tetsis and Ch. Botsoglou workshops). He has participated in numerous group exhibitions in Greece and abroad. Contemplation is his 7th solo exhibition.
