Local's Guide to Hendersonville
Hendersonville is known around the state as one of Middle Tennessee's top communities for families. With a top-ranked school system, plenty of parks and lakefront shoreline, and unique shops and restaurants all less than 20 miles from downtown Nashville, Hendersonville is a neighborhood to be considered by homebuyers.
One thing that is evident is a sense of community. The town hosts several annual events such as a 4th of July fireworks show and a Christmas parade, plus regular concerts, movies in the park, and theatrical productions. The Streets of Indian Lake, perhaps the best place for a night out, is home to an array of shops, restaurants, dancing (is that the right term?) fountains for kids to cool off in, and a movie theater. Also close by is the Hendersonville Cruise-In car show takes place on warm Friday nights. There is always something to see and do around town.
There is no shortage of restaurants to choose from in Hendersonville. If you're craving Mexican, locals recommend Casa Vieja or Rio Bravo; for a great steak, consider the Chop House; Avanti Gourmet is a quaint Italian restaurant and deli; or across from Creekwood Marina grab some Pizza at Saunders Ferry Pizza & Pub. You can even pull your boat up to the Rudder at Anchor High Marina.
It's also easy to lead an active lifestyle in Hendersonville. The town offers a variety of parks with pavilions and sports fields, a network of greenways for walking and biking, and has a thriving soccer club. Old Hickory Lake is perfect for fishing, boating, and relaxing, and has 26 miles of shoreline and convenient marinas. For fans of boating and golf, the Bluegrass Yacht and Country Club may be worth a membership and is a favorite weekend location for many locals.
Hendersonville is a part of the Sumner County public school system which is consistently ranked for their academics, extracurricular activities, and athletic programs. The town also has quality private schools as well as homeschool options.
If you're looking for a small town with big city convenience and opportunities, look no further than Hendersonville. With an impressive school system, an active sense of community, and plenty of events and happenings, this is one town you will love to call home.

5 Fast Facts You Need To Know When Moving To Nashville 2019
5 Fast Facts You Need To Know When Moving To Nashville 2019 is inspired by a conversation I had with several recent newcomers to Nashville at my favorite coffee shop, Fido's. I was really surprised buy a few things that shocked these new friends... so thought I should share with my community.
1) Nashville has 4 distinct seasons
2) Nashville does not have a beach!
3) Musicians do not get paid for playing at local venues, but must be wiling to work for free to get experience, and street cred
4) We are a huge foodie scene, but don't offer much fresh seafood
5) Nashville traffic is tough... and because we are built on granite, underground tunnels just aren't a viable option. We have a problem-
but those come with growing pains! With 100 newcomers a day... that;s a lot of people!

This Is How Much Money Adam Richman Is Really Worth
From 2008 to 2012, Adam Richman crisscrossed the United States taking on one food challenge after another with the popular Travel Channel show Man versus Food. Sometimes they were hot enough to have him sweating bullets after a single bite, while other times the food challenges consisted of mammoth proportions that could seemingly topple a giant. One thing the challenges all had in common was that even if Richman completed them, there wasn't a cash prize waiting for him. If anything, he walked away with just a comped meal and free t-shirt to commemorate the food fight.
Those eating competitions were, however, what put Richman on the map, making him somewhat of a household name and a pretty wealthy guy in the process. So just how much has the host acquired from chowing down on giant hoagies?
Richman may have a net worth in the millions today, but he really didn't start earning big money until he was in his mid-30s, according to The Observer. He grew up in a middle-class Jewish family in south Brooklyn his father was an attorney and his mother a guidance counselor. Richman's path to success has been a long one that has taken him from the kitchen to the stage, and then, oddly enough, back to the kitchen.
The TV host's earliest earnings if you can call it that was simply a 10 dollar gift from his great aunt to open a bank account. But decades down the road, Richman was reportedly pulling in $35,000 per episode with Man versus Food. Of course, there were quite a few other jobs with much smaller paychecks in between.
While going to college at Emory University in Atlanta, Richman took a $5 bet from a fraternity brother that he wouldn't try out for the school's theater program. Richman won the five bucks, and by the time he graduated, he was acting in small plays around the country. On the nights that he wasn't performing on stage in small community theaters, Richman was working in kitchens doing everything from busing tables to washing dishes or filling in as a short order cook. Considering that the average busboy salary by 2019 standards is just $23,000 a year, according to Glassdoor, Richman was a long way off from making the big bucks at the time.
Richman did eventually land himself a TV agent and even started occasionally getting small parts in TV shows. Even then, the struggling actor was also earning just $125 a week working as a production assistant at the MSG network. It wasn't until he nailed his 2008 audition for the Travel Channel's new show about regional food challenges that everything changed for him, seemingly overnight.
Today, Richman has an estimated net worth of $10 million. While his Man versus Food paycheck can obviously be credited with contributing to a big portion of those earnings, it's not everything. He also picked up some cushy endorsement deals and has had a number of other TV shows that provided some green for his bank account.
Richman retired from Man versus Food in 2012, writing on Facebook that after 59 food challenges he was ready for a rest from overeating on television. In the middle of Man versus Food's run, Richman picked up an endorsement gig for the heartburn medication Zantac and it'd be hard to find a more fitting connection. Richman told Today,
Everyone thinks I'm just shilling Zantac, but it's really what I use I used to use it even before they paid me for it.
While it's not known how much the TV host picked up for his Zantac endorsement, considering the fact that it's made by a billion-dollar pharmaceutical company, it's fair to say he was probably paid well.
Richman may not have a line of cooking products on the market or own a restaurant, but he's still been successful at capitalizing on his Man versus Food fame. He's released two books, America The Edible in 2011 and the cookbook Straight Up Tasty: Meals, Memories, and Mouthfuls from My Travels in 2015. It's worth noting that celebrities' net worths are often vastly overestimated, but for a middle-class kid from Brooklyn, Richman has done very well for himself.
Watch the video to learn how much money Adam Richman is really worth!
