Historical and Folklore Museum of Alexandroupolis
The Historical αnd Folklor Museum of Alexandroupoli built and operated by the Association of Antiquities Friends and Cultural Heritage.
In its halls there are objects which are recounting history of the Thracians, Eastern and Western Thrace, as well as significant collection with Sarakatsanikes aprons and local costumes.
On the ground floor of the museum changing exhibitions of painting, photography, crafts, etc. with great interest for both locals and visitors.
Ethnological Museum of Alexandroupolis
The Ethnological Museum of Thrace was established to preserve historical memory in the wider geographical region of Thrace.
It is housed in a stone mansion built in 1899, in Alexandroupolis. Operating since October 2002 it is a self-funded project but sponsored in part by the Niarchos Foundation and the Ministry of Culture.
The Ethnological Museum of Thrace is a living place of acquaintance with the folk culture of Thrace, linking tradition and knowledge contained in it, with the reflection of modern society.
Its rooms host local costumes, utensils, tools and handiwork of Thrace dating from the relatively recent history.
Finally, there is a system with which you can search persons who have been uprooted from eastern Thrace and settled in villages in the prefecture of Evros in the early 20th century.

On the 1st level exist the permanent exhibition with the history of the city of Alexandroupolis . It includes separate sections for the archaeological sites around the city, the foundation of the city, the relation with the railway and the port, the architectural character, the economic and political historical course, the cultural and social life and the presentation of the population groups who formed it.
The exhibition is articulated through a modern museological approach, using photographic compositions and representational material, interactive media and projections, as well as collections of documents and relics from archival collector material from donations and private and public entities
The mezzanine hosts the Helen Filippides collection of “Sarakatsan” costumes. Through unique exhibits and representations, is presenting the life, the activities and the artefacts of “Sarakatsan” women in their particular nomadic life.
The ground floor is used for periodic exhibitions and various events of the Museum.
In the basement are stored the collections, the archives and the library of the Museum.
The Historical Museum of Alexandroupolis organizes temporary exhibitions, day conferences, lectures, book presentations, educational programs, cultural events and tours with historical and cultural interest in Greece and abroad.

Ecclesiastical Museum of Alexandroupolis
The Ecclesiastical Museum of the Holy Metropolis of Alexandroupolis is housed in Leontarideio Urban School Boys in the courtyard of the Metropolitan Church of St. Nicholas.
The museum was founded in 1975 by the Bishop of Alexandroupolis and Thessaloniki now Messrs. Anthimos.
Originally housed in two halls of the Cultural Center of the Metropolis, alongside the cathedral of St. Nicholas.
In 1982 the collection, enriched in the meantime and other relics transferred to Leontarideio School, a listed monument since 1978.
The halls of the museum house the religious history of the area and you can admire Byzantine sculptures, temples, vestments, and utensils very old ecclesiastical books.
Natural History Museum of Alexandroupolis
The Museum of Natural Historyis located in a distance of about 2 km east of the city of Alexandroupoli, in Platanotopos of the stream Maistrou.
This is a modern and well equipped building, fully harmonized with the natural environment.
The main purpose of the Natural History Museum of Alexandroupolis is to promote biodiversity in all its levels (genetic, species, ecosystem, landscape) in the Evros region as well as its geophysical and ecological peculiarities.
The Natural History Museum is designed to help raise public environmental awareness, education, and recreation of the public, through the exhibition space and educational programs that prepare.
Attractions are the multimedia applications, the multi sights, the Bank information and more generally the active representations of elements of the natural environment of the area.
The exhibits provide information about the natural history, evolution of life of fish, mammals and plants.

Alexandroupoli, in Thrace, is an important commercial port of northeastern Greece. It is 346 km from Thessaloniki and 40 km from the border of Turkey. Ο Σύλλογος Ιστορικών Μελετών ΚΟΡΥΒΑΝΤΕΣ σε συνεργασία με την Ακαδημία Ιστορικών Πολεμικών τεχνών Λέοντες συμμετείχε με μια 6 μελή αποστολή στο 2ο Φεστιβάλ VIA EGNATIA το οποίο διοργανώθηκε απο την περιφέρεια Ανατολικής Μακεδονίας - Θράκης και υπο την αιγίδα του Υπουργείου Πολιτισμού και Αθλητισμού, το Σάββατο 3 Σεπτεμβρίου στον Φάρο της Αλεξανδρούπολης.
Το κοινό απόλαυσε απο κοντα Βυζαντινή Σπαθασκία και οπλομαχία Ελλήνων Ιπποτών των Ύστερων Βυζαντινών χρόνων με τη χρήση μουσειακού επιπέδου πανοπλιών. Οι επιδειξεις πραγματοποιήθηκαν με μακρύ σπαθί που ήταν το όπλο των ευγενών και παραμήριο (Βυζαντινή σπάθη) και με χειροσκουτάριον που ήταν το όπλο των στρατιωτών
Το κοινό αγκάλιασε την προσπάθεια του Συλλόγου μας δεδομένου ότι ήταν η πρώτη φορά στα Ελληνικά πολιτιστικά χρονικά που παρουσιάζεται συζευκτικά η βιωματική τρισδιάστατη απεικόνιση πανοπλιών Στρατιωτικών Αγίων / Ελλήνων Ιπποτών μαζί με την αθλητική διάσταση της Βυζαντινής Σπαθασκίας,
